أعلنت فرقة BTS الكورية الجنوبية قرارها عدم الترشح لجوائز غرامي 2027، رغم النجاح الكبير الذي حققه ألبومها الأخير «أريرانغ»، وذلك اعتراضاً على استحداث فئة جديدة مخصصة لموسيقى البوب الآسيوية.
تقدير الأعمال الفنية
وقالت الفرقة في بيان نشره أعضاؤها عبر حساباتهم على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي: "قررنا عدم تقديم موسيقانا للمنافسة في جوائز غرامي هذا العام، مؤكدة رغبتها في أن يتم تقدير الأعمال الفنية بعيداً عن تصنيفها وفق اللغة أو المنطقة الجغرافية.
وجاء في البيان: «نأمل أن تُسمع الموسيقى وتُحب لذاتها، دون تقسيمها حسب المنطقة أو اللغة»، كما أعرب أعضاء الفرقة عن امتنانهم لجمهورهم المعروف باسم «ARMY».
عزل الموسيقى
ويأتي قرار BTS بعد إعلان أكاديمية التسجيلات استحداث فئة «أفضل أداء موسيقي بوب آسيوي» ضمن الجوائز الجديدة المضافة للدورة القادمة، بهدف تكريم أنماط موسيقية مثل الكيبوب والبوب الياباني والصيني.
إلا أن هذه الخطوة أثارت جدلاً بين بعض الفنانين والمتابعين الذين اعتبروا أنها قد تؤدي إلى عزل الموسيقى الآسيوية بدلاً من دمجها في الفئات الرئيسة.
3 ترشيحات سابقة
وسبق أن رُشحت BTS ثلاث مرات متتالية لجوائز غرامي عن فئة أفضل أداء ثنائي أو جماعي بوب، بأغاني Dynamite وButter وMy Universe بالتعاون مع فرقة Coldplay بين عامي 2021 و2023.
ويأتي موقف الفرقة في وقت يواصل فيه ألبوم «أريرانغ» تحقيق أرقام قياسية؛ إذ تصدر قائمة «بيلبورد 200» وحقق مبيعات واستماعات ضخمة عالمياً، بعد عودة الفرقة للعمل معاً عقب انتهاء أعضائها من الخدمة العسكرية.

The group stated in a statement published by its members on their social media accounts: "We have decided not to submit our music for competition at the Grammy Awards this year," emphasizing their desire for artistic works to be appreciated without being classified by language or geographical region.
The statement continued: "We hope that music is heard and loved for itself, without being divided by region or language," and the members expressed their gratitude to their fans known as "ARMY."
Isolation of Music
BTS's decision comes after the Recording Academy announced the introduction of the "Best Asian Pop Performance" category among the new awards added for the upcoming ceremony, aimed at honoring musical styles such as K-pop, Japanese pop, and Chinese pop.
However, this move has sparked controversy among some artists and followers who believe it could lead to the isolation of Asian music rather than integrating it into the main categories.
3 Previous Nominations
BTS has previously been nominated three consecutive times for the Grammy Awards in the Best Pop Duo or Group Performance category, with songs Dynamite, Butter, and My Universe in collaboration with Coldplay between 2021 and 2023.
The group's stance comes at a time when the album "Arirang" continues to achieve record numbers; it topped the "Billboard 200" chart and achieved massive global sales and streams, following the group's return to working together after its members completed their military service.
