تحوّلت مدينة «بالم سبرينغز» الأمريكية إلى مسرح مفتوح لاستعادة صورة النجمة الراحلة مارلين مونرو، مع تجمّع أكثر من ألف شخص بملابس وإطلالات مستوحاة من أيقونة هوليوود، في حدث سجّل رقماً قياسياً جديداً في موسوعة غينيس، تزامناً مع الذكرى المئوية لميلادها.

وشارك 1037 شخصاً في التجمّع الذي أُقيم تحت تمثال (Forever Marilyn) العملاق في وسط المدينة، متجاوزين الرقم القياسي السابق الذي بلغ 254 مشاركاً فقط، ويُعدّ الحدث الأكبر من نوعه لمتشبّهين بمارلين مونرو، في المدينة التي لطالما ارتبط اسمها بتاريخ النجمة الراحلة.
فساتين بيضاء وشعر أشقر
المشاركون حضروا بإطلالات استحضرت أشهر صور مارلين مونرو، من الفساتين البيضاء إلى الشعر الأشقر المستعار وأحمر الشفاه الأحمر، فيما حمل كثيرون حقائب ومجوهرات وإكسسوارات تحمل صورتها.
ووفّرت جمعية (Palm Springs Pride)، منظمة الاحتفال، الشعر المستعار والفساتين للمشاركين ضمن احتفال امتدّ إلى أنحاء مختلفة من المدينة.
ورغم توحّد الإطلالة، بدا واضحاً أنّ كلّ شخص يحمل نسخته الخاصة من مارلين. فمنهم من استعاد صورتها المرحة واللامعة، فيما اختار آخرون التركيز على جانبها الإنساني والهشّ، في مشهد عكس استمرار حضورها الثقافي بعد أكثر من ستة عقود على رحيلها.
وبعد مرور 100 عام على ولادتها، لا تزال مارلين مونرو قادرة على جمع محبّيها حول العالم، في صورة تؤكد أنّ حضورها تجاوز حدود السينما، ليصبح جزءاً من الذاكرة الشعبية والثقافة الأمريكية.
The American city of "Palm Springs" has turned into an open stage to reclaim the image of the late star Marilyn Monroe, with over a thousand people gathering in outfits inspired by the Hollywood icon, in an event that set a new Guinness World Record, coinciding with the centenary of her birth.
Record
A total of 1,037 people participated in the gathering held under the giant statue (Forever Marilyn) in the city center, surpassing the previous record of only 254 participants. This event is the largest of its kind for Marilyn Monroe impersonators in a city that has long been associated with the history of the late star.
White Dresses and Blonde Hair
Participants arrived in looks reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe's most famous images, from white dresses to blonde wigs and red lipstick, while many carried bags, jewelry, and accessories featuring her image.
The (Palm Springs Pride) organization, which hosted the celebration, provided wigs and dresses for participants in a festivity that extended across various parts of the city.
Despite the uniformity of the looks, it was clear that each person carried their own version of Marilyn. Some evoked her cheerful and glamorous image, while others chose to focus on her human and fragile side, in a scene that reflected her continued cultural presence more than six decades after her passing.
One hundred years after her birth, Marilyn Monroe still has the ability to gather her fans around the world, in a picture that confirms her presence has transcended the boundaries of cinema, becoming part of popular memory and American culture.
