رغم إدانته في «الفيديوهات الخادشة».. تخفيف حبس «شاكر محظور» إلى عام واحد

The Economic Misdemeanor Appeals Court in the Egyptian capital ruled today (Sunday) to reduce the prison sentence of the famous digital content creator Mohamed Shaker, known as "Shaker Mahzour," from two years to one year, while maintaining a financial fine of 100,000 Egyptian pounds, after he was convicted of publishing content that violates public morals.

Confirmation of Charges

The court's decision came after accepting the Egyptian "blogger's" appeal in form, as the judicial body deemed it appropriate to reduce the custodial sentence by half, while confirming the charges against him regarding the misuse of social media and violating family and societal values by broadcasting videos containing inappropriate suggestions.

Inappropriate Videos

The Public Prosecution referred "Shaker Mahzour" for trial on charges of offending public decency by broadcasting videos that include inappropriate words and suggestions, and violating family principles by publishing digital content that investigative authorities considered undermining the established values and principles in Egyptian society.

The Public Prosecution accused the Egyptian blogger of misusing the internet and exploiting digital platforms for profit through content that violates public morals.
