يطلق مدير عام فرع وزارة الإعلام بمنطة مكة المكرمة عبدالخالق الزهراني، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، المعرض التشكيلي المشترك للفنانين خالد بايونس وعبدالله القثامي في أحد فنادق مكة المكرمة، وبإشراف الجمعية السعودية للفنون التشكيلية «جسفت» في مكة المكرمة، بحضور نخبة من الفنانين والمثقفين والإعلاميين والمهتمين بالفن التشكيلي. ويأتي المعرض بوصفه لقاء بصرياً بين تجربتين تتقاطعان في الانشغال بالمكان والإنسان والذاكرة، وتختلفان في الأسلوب والمعالجة ضمن رؤية معاصرة تستلهم الأصالة والتراث السعودي.
يضم المعرض مجموعة من الأعمال التي تعكس تنوع الرؤى الفنية، ويقدم كل فنان مقاربته الخاصة للطبيعة والإنسان مستنداً إلى بيئة محلية حاضرة في الوعي البصري لكنها تقدم بلغة اختزالية وتعبيرية بعيدة عن المباشرة، ويشكل هذا التنوع مساحة حوار بين اللون والملمس وبين التجريد والتعبير وبين الذاكرة والمشهد الآني.
في أعمال خالد بايونس، تحضر الطبيعة بوصفها حالة شعورية أكثر من كونها منظراً وصفياً، إذ تعتمد لوحاته على تبسيط الكتل وبناء المساحات اللونية الهادئة وتتجاور درجات الأخضر والبني والبيج في تكوينات تستحضر الغابة والوادي وظلال الأشجار دون الوقوع في التفاصيل المباشرة، الأشجار في أعماله تبدو كإيقاع بصري يوحي بالسكينة والعمق وتتحول الكتلة النباتية إلى رمز للمكان والهدوء الداخلي، مما يمنح اللوحة بعداً تأملياً ويترك للمتلقي مساحة واسعة لاستكمال المشهد وفق إحساسه الخاص.
أما أعمال عبدالله القثامي، فتتجه نحو الإنسان بوصفه ذاكرة قائمة بذاتها فتظهر الشخوص في تكوينات عمودية مجردة الملامح لكنها مشبعة بالحضور والدلالة، فالوجه الغائب لا يلغي الهوية بل يوسع معناها لتشمل الجماعة والانتماء. ويوظف القثامي الأزرق والبرتقالي والألوان الترابية في حوار لوني يعكس البعد الروحي والإنساني ويمنح اللوحة توتراً بصرياً متوازناً بين الثبات والحركة وبين الأرض والروح.
يجمع المعرض بين تجربتين مختلفتين في الأسلوب متفقتين في الجوهر، ويقدم التراث السعودي بوصفه إحساساً وذاكرة جمعية قابلة لإعادة القراءة والتأويل بعيداً عن المباشرة والتكرار، ويؤكد هذا اللقاء التشكيلي أن الفن السعودي المعاصر قادر على ملامسة المكان والإنسان بلغة بصرية ناضجة تحترم الجذور وتنفتح في الوقت ذاته على آفاق التعبير الحديث. ويستمر المعرض عدة أيام متيحاً للزوار فرصة التفاعل مع تجربة فنية تعكس ثراء المشهد التشكيلي السعودي وتنوع مساراته.
The General Director of the Ministry of Media branch in the Makkah region, Abdulkhaleq Al-Zahrani, will inaugurate today (Tuesday) the joint art exhibition of artists Khalid Bayounis and Abdullah Al-Quthami at one of the hotels in Makkah, under the supervision of the Saudi Association for Visual Arts "Jusfat" in Makkah, with the presence of a select group of artists, intellectuals, media professionals, and art enthusiasts. The exhibition serves as a visual encounter between two experiences that intersect in their engagement with place, humanity, and memory, while differing in style and approach within a contemporary vision that draws inspiration from authenticity and Saudi heritage.
The exhibition includes a collection of works that reflect the diversity of artistic visions, with each artist presenting their own approach to nature and humanity, grounded in a local environment that is present in visual awareness but expressed in a reductive and expressive language that moves away from directness. This diversity creates a space for dialogue between color and texture, abstraction and expression, and between memory and the present scene.
In Khalid Bayounis's works, nature is present as a state of feeling rather than a descriptive landscape. His paintings rely on simplifying forms and constructing calm color spaces, with shades of green, brown, and beige juxtaposed in compositions that evoke forests, valleys, and the shadows of trees without falling into direct details. The trees in his works appear as a visual rhythm that suggests tranquility and depth, transforming the plant mass into a symbol of place and inner calm, granting the painting a contemplative dimension and leaving the viewer ample space to complete the scene according to their own feelings.
As for Abdullah Al-Quthami's works, they lean towards humanity as a memory in itself, with figures appearing in abstract vertical compositions that are stripped of features yet rich in presence and significance. The absent face does not negate identity but rather expands its meaning to encompass community and belonging. Al-Quthami employs blue, orange, and earthy colors in a color dialogue that reflects the spiritual and human dimension, providing the painting with a balanced visual tension between stability and movement, and between earth and spirit.
The exhibition brings together two different experiences in style that agree in essence, presenting Saudi heritage as a feeling and a collective memory that can be re-read and interpreted away from directness and repetition. This artistic encounter emphasizes that contemporary Saudi art is capable of touching upon place and humanity with a mature visual language that respects roots while simultaneously opening up to the horizons of modern expression. The exhibition will continue for several days, allowing visitors the opportunity to engage with an artistic experience that reflects the richness of the Saudi visual arts scene and the diversity of its pathways.
