تنطلق فعاليات الدورة الرابعة من مهرجان السينما الأوروبية غداً في الرياض.
ويضم المهرجان عروضاً لأفلام نالت جوائز دولية، إلى جانب ندوات وورش تفاعلية تجمع صناع الأفلام من الجانبين، بمشاركة أسماء بارزة مثل Martins Upitis، مصمم المؤثرات البصرية لفيلم Flow، والمخرجة النرويجية Kajsa Næss، صاحبة فيلم Titina، إضافة إلى نخبة من نجوم السينما السعوديين.
ويُفتتح المهرجان بفيلم الرسوم المتحركة اللاتفي Flow الحائز على جائزة الأوسكار، فيما يتضمن البرنامج 15 فيلماً من 15 دولة أوروبية، تُقدَّم في بانوراما سينمائية تعكس تنوّع التجارب والمدارس الفنية في القارة الأوروبية. وتُعرض جميع الأفلام مصحوبة بترجمة إلى اللغتين العربية والإنجليزية، لتوفير تجربة مشاهدة غنية ومتكاملة للجمهور المحلي.
وأعرب سفير الاتحاد الأوروبي لدى السعودية كريستوف فارنو عن اعتزازه بمسيرة المهرجان، إذ وصفه بالجسر الحيوي للتعاون بين الاتحاد الأوروبي والمملكة.
وأوضح مؤسس مجموعة الصور العربية للسينما عبدالإله الأحمري أن المهرجان يواصل هذا العام تقديم تجربة لافتة لعشّاق الفن السابع، مضيفاً: «نفخر بتنظيم الدورة الرابعة من هذا الحدث الذي يجمع بين المتعة السينمائية والحوار الثقافي، بمشاركة ضيوف دوليين وندوات مفتوحة تتيح تبادل الخبرات بين المبدعين الأوروبيين والسعوديين».
ويُنظَّم المهرجان بالتعاون بين الاتحاد الأوروبي في المملكة العربية السعودية وسفارات الدول الأعضاء، بالشراكة مع مجموعة الصور العربية للسينما وفوكس سينما، وبدعم من هيئة الأفلام السعودية.
The fourth edition of the European Film Festival kicks off tomorrow in Riyadh.
The festival features screenings of award-winning films, along with seminars and interactive workshops that bring together filmmakers from both sides, with the participation of prominent names such as Martins Upitis, the visual effects designer for the film Flow, and Norwegian director Kajsa Næss, the creator of the film Titina, in addition to a selection of Saudi cinema stars.
The festival will open with the Oscar-winning Latvian animated film Flow, while the program includes 15 films from 15 European countries, presented in a cinematic panorama that reflects the diversity of experiences and artistic schools in the European continent. All films will be screened with subtitles in both Arabic and English, providing a rich and comprehensive viewing experience for the local audience.
The EU Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Christoph Farno, expressed his pride in the festival's journey, describing it as a vital bridge for cooperation between the European Union and the Kingdom.
Abdulilah Al-Ahmari, founder of the Arab Pictures Group for Cinema, explained that the festival continues this year to offer a remarkable experience for lovers of the seventh art, adding: "We are proud to organize the fourth edition of this event that combines cinematic enjoyment and cultural dialogue, with the participation of international guests and open seminars that allow for the exchange of experiences between European and Saudi creators."
The festival is organized in collaboration between the European Union in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the embassies of member states, in partnership with the Arab Pictures Group for Cinema and Vox Cinemas, and with the support of the Saudi Film Commission.
