فُجع الوسط الفني في مصر بوفاة المصورين ماجد هلال وكيرلس صلاح، بعد سقوطهما من رافعة كانا يستقلانها دون حماية، لإنهاء بعض الأعمال لإحدى شركات الإعلانات، وذلك بعد انتهائهما من نقل أحداث «مهرجان الجونة السينمائي الدولي».
وطالب المخرج عمرو سلامة عبر حسابه الخاص في «فيسبوك» بفتح تحقيق في وفاة المصوّرين، معبّراً عن حزنه الشديد وصدمته من خبر الوفاة، معزّياً أقارب الراحلين اللذين توفيا إثر حادث وصفه سلامة بـ«المخيف».
وكتب سلامة «تعازينا لكل محبي وأقارب وأصدقاء المصوّر المحترم الخلوق الشاطر ماجد هلال، والله يصبّرهم على مصيبتهم، واقعة وفاته مخيفة ولازم توضيح وتحقيق، لو القصة حقيقية، يعني إيه يتطلب منه يصوّر فوق ونش بدون حماية ويوقع من عليه؟».
تفاصيل الوفاة
وكشف أحد أصدقاء المصوّرين سبب الوفاة قائلاً في تصريحات صحافية: «كانوا بيصوّروا حاجة لشركة معينة وطلبوا منهم يطلعوا على الونش ومكنش في حماية».
وأضاف: «وقعوا من على الونش وهما بيصوّروا وحالياً في طريقنا للمشرحة، وتحقيقات الجهات المختصة لسّه شغّالة، وأصحاب الشركة اللي كلفوهم بالتصوير ده اختفوا فور الوفاة ما حصلت، ومش لاقيين الكاميرات ولا كروت المصوّرين».
وكان آخر ما كتبه المصوّر ماجد هلال في عيد ميلاده منذ أيام: «الحمد لله على نعمته وفضله عليّا والحمد لله على كل النِّعم اللي ربنا أنعم بيها على الواحد وكرمه بكل حاجة وصلتلها وبتعلّمها في الرحلة، وممتن جداً جداً للرحلة كلها بالحلو والصعب اللي فيها ومتحمّس للـ40 اللي زيّهم أما نشوف هيحصل إيه للواد ده قدام».
The artistic community in Egypt was devastated by the death of photographers Majid Helal and Kirlus Salah, after they fell from a crane they were using without safety measures, to complete some work for an advertising company, following their coverage of the "El Gouna International Film Festival."
Director Amr Salama called for an investigation into the photographers' deaths via his personal account on "Facebook," expressing his deep sorrow and shock at the news of their passing, offering condolences to the relatives of the deceased who died in what Salama described as a "terrifying" accident.
Salama wrote, "Our condolences to all the fans, relatives, and friends of the respectable, decent, talented photographer Majid Helal. May God grant them patience in their affliction. The incident of his death is frightening and needs clarification and investigation. If the story is true, what does it mean that he was required to shoot from a crane without protection and fell from it?"
Details of the Death
One of the photographers' friends revealed the cause of death, stating in press remarks: "They were shooting something for a specific company and were asked to go up on the crane without any safety measures."
He added: "They fell from the crane while shooting, and we are currently on our way to the morgue. Investigations by the relevant authorities are still ongoing, and the owners of the company that commissioned them for the shoot disappeared immediately after the incident occurred. We can't find the cameras or the photographers' cards."
What the photographer Majid Helal wrote on his birthday a few days ago was: "Thank God for His blessings and grace upon me, and thank God for all the blessings that God has bestowed upon me and for His generosity in everything I have achieved and learned on this journey. I am very, very grateful for the entire journey, with its ups and downs, and I am excited for the 40 that are like them when we see what will happen to this kid ahead."
