عبرت الفنانة المصرية بشرى عن حزنها تجاه الوضع الراهن في السينما المصرية، وقالت لـ«عكاظ»: الساحة الفنية تعاني من شح واضح في الإنتاج السينمائي الجيد، وجيلنا يعيش حالة من الفقر في الإنتاج السينمائي الجيد.
جوائز الأوسكار
وأكدت عدم انبهارها بجوائز الأوسكار، وترى بأن الاهتمام المبالغ به من قِبل صناع السينما في مصر يمثل تمسكا بالحلم الأمريكي أكثر من كونه تقديرا لقيمة الفن ذاته.
وقالت: جوائز الأوسكار لا تستحق كل هذا الانبهار، فهي في الأساس تعبير عن الحلم الأمريكي الذي ما زال كثيرون في مصر متمسكين به، رغم وجود مهرجانات أعرق من الأوسكار بكثير مثل فينيسيا وكان، التي تجاوز عمرها 75 عاما وتمثل بالفعل السينما العالمية.
وأضافت: الأوسكار في النهاية حفل لتوزيع جوائز يهتم بشكل أساسي بالسينما الأمريكية، وجزء صغير للغاية من السينما الأجنبية.
وأوضحت بشرى أنها تعتبر نجاح الفيلم في بلده وبين جمهوره هو الأهم، قائلة: «أنا شايفة إن نجاح فيلمي وسط أهله وناسه أهم بكتير وأفضل، أو يكون مشارك في مهرجانات دولية متخصصة فعلا في السينما».
وعن إمكانية توثيق أعمالها الفنية، قالت: لا أفكر في الإقدام على هذه الخطوة في الوقت الحالي، مؤكدة أن الأولوية الآن هي الاحتفاء بتاريخ كبار الفنانين والرواد الذين مهدوا الطريق للأجيال اللاحقة.
The Egyptian artist Bushra expressed her sadness regarding the current situation in Egyptian cinema, and she said to "Okaz": The artistic scene is suffering from a clear shortage of good cinematic production, and our generation is living in a state of poverty in good cinematic production.
Oscar Awards
She confirmed that she is not impressed by the Oscar awards, and she sees that the exaggerated interest from filmmakers in Egypt represents a clinging to the American dream more than it is an appreciation of the value of art itself.
She said: The Oscar awards do not deserve all this admiration; they are essentially an expression of the American dream that many in Egypt still cling to, despite the existence of festivals that are much older than the Oscars, such as Venice and Cannes, which have been around for over 75 years and truly represent global cinema.
She added: The Oscars, in the end, are a ceremony for distributing awards that primarily focuses on American cinema, with a very small part dedicated to foreign cinema.
Bushra clarified that she considers the success of a film in its home country and among its audience to be the most important, saying: "I believe that the success of my film among its people is much more important and better, or to be participating in international festivals that are truly specialized in cinema."
Regarding the possibility of documenting her artistic works, she said: I am not thinking of taking this step at the moment, emphasizing that the priority now is to celebrate the history of great artists and pioneers who paved the way for subsequent generations.
