كشف الفنان المصري هشام جمال تعرضه وزوجته ليلى زاهر للتسمم خلال شهر العسل، دون علم عائلتيهما.
وقال جمال: تعرضت وزوجتي للتسمم بعد ثلاثة أيام من شهر العسل، بعد أن تناولنا وجبة طعام من «فود ترك» جوار الفندق، وبعد أن أعجبنا مذاقها عدنا مرة أخرى لتناولها.
وأضاف: بعد صعودنا إلى الغرفة شعرت ليلى فجأة بالنعاس، فيما شعرت بألم شديد في المعدة، وعندما أيقظتها فوجئت بأنها مريضة كذلك لنقرر الانتقال إلى المستشفى.
ورغم الموقف الكوميدي الذي عاشاه، فقد اعتقد الأطباء أن حالتيهما مستقرة، بينما كان هشام يشعر بألم حاد يشبه السكاكين في معدته، وكانت ليلى تحاول إقناع الأطباء بصعوبة الوضع.
وقال هشام جمال: بعد أن تناولت الأدوية ظللت عدة ساعات دون أن أشعر بالتحسن، وفجأة أخبرتني ليلى أنها تعاني من ألم شديد أيضا، فطلبنا حضور الطبيب، والوقت كان يداهمنا، إذ تبقى نحو ثلاث ساعات فقط قبل موعد الطائرة إلى مصر، فأسرعنا لإنهاء الإجراءات وتمكنا من العودة بأمان.
وأكد هشام جمال وليلى زاهر أنهما لم يخبرا أي شخص من عائلتيهما بالحادثة، خوفا من إحداث قلق أو توتر لدى أقرب الناس إليهما، محافظين على خصوصية الموقف رغم خطورته.
The Egyptian artist Hisham Gamal revealed that he and his wife Leila Zahir experienced food poisoning during their honeymoon, without the knowledge of their families.
Gamal said: "My wife and I got food poisoning three days into our honeymoon after we had a meal from a food truck next to the hotel, and after we enjoyed its taste, we returned again to eat it."
He added: "After we went up to the room, Leila suddenly felt sleepy, while I felt severe pain in my stomach. When I woke her up, I was surprised to find that she was sick too, so we decided to go to the hospital."
Despite the comedic situation they were in, the doctors believed that their conditions were stable, while Hisham felt sharp pain like knives in his stomach, and Leila was trying to convince the doctors of the seriousness of the situation.
Hisham Gamal said: "After taking the medications, I spent several hours without feeling any improvement, and suddenly Leila told me that she was also experiencing severe pain, so we requested the doctor to come, and time was pressing on us, as we had only about three hours left before our flight to Egypt, so we hurried to complete the procedures and managed to return safely."
Hisham Gamal and Leila Zahir confirmed that they did not inform any of their family members about the incident, fearing it would cause worry or stress to their loved ones, maintaining the privacy of the situation despite its seriousness.
