توفّيت الإعلامية المصرية فيفيان الفقي صباح اليوم (الأحد) عن عمر 45 عامًا، بعد صراع طويل مع مرض السرطان بأحد مستشفيات القاهرة، حيث كانت تتلقى علاجا مكثفا من المرض الذي انتشر في أجزاء متعددة من جسمها.
استغاثت فيفيان أخيراً عبر صديقتها الإعلامية بسمة وهبة، التي نشرت فيديو مؤثرًا على حسابها في «إنستغرام» موجهًا إلى وزير الصحة والسكان الدكتور خالد عبدالغفار.
وقالت وهبة في الفيديو: «صديقتي فيفيان الفقي مصابة بالسرطان في أماكن كتير بجسمها، والكيماوي مش جايب نتيجة، في دكتور قال إنه يقدر يتخلص من الخلايا السرطانية وبالفعل عملت العملية في مستشفى خاص بالمهندسين».
وولدت فيفيان الفقي في الثمانينات في القاهرة، وتخرجت في كلية الإعلام بجامعة القاهرة، وبدأت مسيرتها المهنية في التلفزيون المصري كمذيعة إخبارية في أوائل الألفية الجديدة، واشتهرت بتقديم برامج مثل «حكايات من الشارع» و«قصص حقيقية» التي ركزت على قصص النساء والأسر المصرية، ومعالجة قضايا مثل العنف الأسري، الفقر، والتعليم.
وعرفت الفقي بأسلوبها الهادئ والمؤثر الذي ميزها عن الإعلاميين الآخرين، ما جعلها وجهًا محبوبًا في العديد من القنوات المصرية، وقدمت أكثر من 500 حلقة تلفزيونية على مدار 15 عامًا.
وفي السنوات الأخيرة، واجهت فيفيان تحديات صحية، وأعلنت عن إصابتها بالسرطان في 2023، وخضعت لعمليات جراحية وجلسات كيميائية مكثفة، وكانت نشطة في حملات التوعية بالمرض، مشاركة تجاربها لتشجيع النساء على الفحص المبكر، ما جعلها رمزًا للصمود.

The Egyptian media personality Vivian El-Feki passed away this morning (Sunday) at the age of 45, after a long battle with cancer in a hospital in Cairo, where she was receiving intensive treatment for the disease that had spread to multiple parts of her body.
Vivian finally appealed through her friend, media personality Basma Wahba, who posted an emotional video on her Instagram account directed at the Minister of Health and Population, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar.
Wahba said in the video: "My friend Vivian El-Feki is suffering from cancer in many parts of her body, and chemotherapy is not yielding results. A doctor said he could eliminate the cancerous cells, and indeed she had the operation in a private hospital in Mohandessin."
Vivian El-Feki was born in the 1980s in Cairo, graduated from the Faculty of Media at Cairo University, and began her professional career in Egyptian television as a news presenter in the early 2000s. She became famous for hosting programs such as "Stories from the Street" and "True Stories," which focused on the stories of Egyptian women and families, addressing issues such as domestic violence, poverty, and education.
El-Feki was known for her calm and impactful style, which distinguished her from other media personalities, making her a beloved face on many Egyptian channels. She presented more than 500 television episodes over the course of 15 years.
In recent years, Vivian faced health challenges, announcing her cancer diagnosis in 2023. She underwent surgeries and intensive chemotherapy sessions and was active in awareness campaigns about the disease, sharing her experiences to encourage women to undergo early screening, which made her a symbol of resilience.
