تستعد بغداد، عاصمة المسرح العربي، لإطلاق النسخة السادسة من مهرجان بغداد الدولي للمسرح، بدءاً من 10 أكتوبر القادم، في حدث فني متميز يقام برعاية رئيس الوزراء المهندس محمد شياع السوداني، وبإشراف وزير الثقافة والسياحة والآثار الدكتور أحمد فكاك البدراني، وبرئاسة نقيب الفنانين العراقيين الدكتور جبار جودي.
ويحمل المهرجان هذا العام اسم الفنان القدير ميمون الخالدي، تكريماً لمسيرته المسرحية الغنية. وسيُحتفى به في حفل الافتتاح الكبير بساحة الاحتفالات المركزية، حيث يُعرض أوبريت «بغداد والشعراء والصور» من تصميم فؤاد ذا النون، بمشاركة الفرقة الوطنية للفنون الشعبية وتمثيل الفنان المحتفى به.
عروض عالمية وأخرى عربية مميزة
ويشهد الافتتاح عرضاً عالمياً لمسرحية Silence القادمة من بولندا، من إخراج Pawel Szkotak، كما تستعد «السجادة الحمراء» لاستقبال نجوم المسرح من مختلف الدول العربية والعالمية، بما في ذلك مصر، المغرب، تونس، لبنان، الكويت، الإمارات، السودان، الجزائر، البحرين، قطر، سورية، الأردن، فلسطين، إضافة إلى ضيوف من ألمانيا، إسبانيا، الهند، إيران، إيطاليا.
وتواكب المهرجان مجموعة من الفعاليات الثقافية المصاحبة، أبرزها؛ توقيع إصدارات مسرحية عراقية جديدة، «ماستر كلاس» للمخرج العربي الكبير الفاضل الجعايبي، ورشة في فن التمثيل والارتجال للفنان فايز قزق، ندوات نقدية يومية بمشاركة نخبة من النقاد العراقيين والعرب.
ويعود مهرجان بغداد الدولي للمسرح هذا العام بزخم رسمي وفني غير مسبوق، ليؤكد مكانة بغداد كمنارة المسرح العربي وملتقى للإبداع العالمي.
Baghdad, the capital of Arab theater, is preparing to launch the sixth edition of the Baghdad International Theater Festival, starting from October 10th, in a distinguished artistic event held under the patronage of Prime Minister Engineer Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, and under the supervision of the Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities, Dr. Ahmed Fakkak Al-Badrani, and chaired by the head of the Iraqi Artists' Syndicate, Dr. Jabar Jodi.
This year, the festival is named after the esteemed artist Maymoon Al-Khalidi, in honor of his rich theatrical career. He will be celebrated at the grand opening ceremony in the central celebration square, where the operetta "Baghdad, Poets, and Images," designed by Fouad Al-Dhanoon, will be presented, featuring the National Folk Arts Troupe and the honored artist.
International and Distinctive Arab Performances
The opening will feature an international performance of the play Silence coming from Poland, directed by Pawel Szkotak. The "Red Carpet" is also set to welcome theater stars from various Arab and international countries, including Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Lebanon, Kuwait, the UAE, Sudan, Algeria, Bahrain, Qatar, Syria, Jordan, Palestine, as well as guests from Germany, Spain, India, Iran, and Italy.
The festival will be accompanied by a series of cultural activities, the most notable of which are the signing of new Iraqi theatrical publications, a "master class" with the great Arab director Fadel Al-Jaabi, a workshop in acting and improvisation by artist Faiz Qazq, and daily critical seminars featuring a selection of Iraqi and Arab critics.
This year, the Baghdad International Theater Festival returns with unprecedented official and artistic momentum, reaffirming Baghdad's position as a beacon of Arab theater and a meeting point for global creativity.
