أشاد رئيس مهرجان بغداد السينمائي ونقيب الفنانين العراقيين جبار جودي، بمشاركة المملكة العربية السعودية في فعاليات الدورة الثانية من المهرجان، مؤكدًا أن السعودية تشهد نهضة فنية ونشاطا سينمائيا واسعا، وهي دولة شقيقة نعتز بها، ونقف دائمًا إلى جانب صناعها وندعم جهودهم وإبداعاتهم السينمائية.
وأشار إلى أن هذه الدورة جاءت مختلفة عن الأولى على المستويين الكمي والنوعي.
وأوضح جودي لـ«عكاظ» أن المهرجان يشهد لأول مرة منذ 40 عامًا عرض فيلم أنيميشن عراقي طويل، إلى جانب 6 أفلام روائية عراقية طويلة، وباقة من الأفلام الوثائقية والقصيرة العراقية، مضيفاً أن البرنامج تضمن إصدار أكثر من 15 مطبوعة سينمائية متخصصة، وإقامة ما يزيد على 5 ورش عمل، إضافة إلى إطلاق سوق بغداد لصنّاع الفيلم، مشيراً إلى أن الهدف من إقامة المهرجان هو تعزيز الحراك السينمائي العراقي، والتواصل مع التجارب العربية، وفتح آفاق للاحتكاك وتبادل الخبرات، مؤكداً الحرص على تشكيل لجان تحكيم مهنية لأربع مسابقات رئيسية، وقال «الحمد لله استطعنا تنظيم دورة مختلفة نوعًا ما، وإن شاء الله ستشهد الدورة القادمة طفرة أكبر على المستويين النوعي والكمّي».
The President of the Baghdad International Film Festival and the head of the Iraqi Artists' Union, Jabar Jodi, praised the participation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the events of the second edition of the festival, emphasizing that Saudi Arabia is witnessing an artistic renaissance and extensive cinematic activity. It is a brotherly country that we cherish, and we always stand by its creators and support their efforts and cinematic innovations.
He pointed out that this edition is different from the first in both quantitative and qualitative aspects.
Jodi explained to “Okaz” that the festival is showcasing, for the first time in 40 years, a long Iraqi animation film, in addition to 6 long Iraqi feature films, along with a selection of Iraqi documentary and short films. He added that the program includes the issuance of more than 15 specialized cinematic publications and the establishment of over 5 workshops, in addition to launching the Baghdad Market for filmmakers. He noted that the goal of holding the festival is to enhance the Iraqi cinematic movement, connect with Arab experiences, and open horizons for interaction and exchange of expertise, emphasizing the commitment to form professional judging committees for four main competitions. He said, “Thank God, we managed to organize a somewhat different edition, and God willing, the next edition will witness a greater leap in both qualitative and quantitative aspects.”
