The British star Tom Holland, 29, suffered a head injury after falling while performing a dangerous scene during the filming of Spider-Man: Brand New Day last Friday at Leavesden Studios in Watford. He was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment of a concussion, which led to an indefinite suspension of filming for the £150 million movie.

Absence from Filming

During a charity event in Mayfair yesterday (Sunday), his father Dominic Holland confirmed that his son would be away from filming "for a while." Tom also attended the event with his partner and co-star Zendaya, 28, where they took photos together.

Impact on Production Schedule

A spokesperson for the East of England Ambulance Service reported that they received the call at 10:30 AM on Friday, and Tom was promptly taken to the hospital for necessary care. Earlier, the film was scheduled to be released on July 31, 2026, but this date may change due to the incident.

Other Projects

Tom and Zendaya are also continuing to film The Odyssey directed by Christopher Nolan, adding to the pressures of his current schedule. The couple first collaborated in Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016, and since then they have become a duo both on and off screen.

In recent footage on the film's official accounts, Tom was seen revealing the new Spider-Man suit, which combines red and blue colors with a black spider logo on the chest, amid widespread fan reactions on social media.
