ردّت الفنانة المصرية شيرين عبدالوهاب على الشائعات التي ترددت أخيرا بشأن نيتها اعتزال الغناء نهائيا، بالكشف عن استعدادها لطرح أغنية وطنية جديدة تحمل عنوان «غالية علينا يا بلادنا»، ستُطلق قريبا عبر منصات الموسيقى المختلفة.
وروّجت شيرين للأغنية عبر حسابها الرسمي على «فيسبوك»، ووجّهت رسالة لجمهورها قائلة: «جمهوري الغالي ألف شكر لدعواتكم اللي بتوصلني في كل مكان.. انتظروا أحلى مفاجأة من أحلى شيرين وأحلى عمرو مصطفى وتامر حسين وتوما لأحلى بلد في الدنيا». ويشاركها في العمل الشاعر الغنائي تامر حسين، والملحن عمرو مصطفى، والموزع توما، لتقديم الأغنية بشكل مختلف وجديد.
وكان الشاعر تامر حسين قد طمأن الجمهور على حالة شيرين مؤكدا أنها بخير وبصحة جيدة، فيما أعلنت الفنانة أخيرا تصالحها مع المستشار القانوني ياسر قنطوش، بعد خلافات سابقة أوضحت أنها لم تكن سوى «سوء تفاهم».

Stay tuned for the sweetest surprise from the sweetest Sherine, along with the wonderful Amr Mostafa, Tamer Hussein, and Touma for the best country in the world." She is collaborating with lyricist Tamer Hussein, composer Amr Mostafa, and arranger Touma to present the song in a different and new way.
Lyricist Tamer Hussein reassured the audience about Sherine's condition, confirming that she is well and in good health, while the artist recently announced her reconciliation with legal advisor Yasser Qantosh, after previous disagreements that she clarified were nothing but a "misunderstanding."
