كشف الفنان المصري القدير توفيق عبدالحميد، تفاصيل استغاثته بالمسؤولين وبالتحديد رئيس مرفق مياه المنتزه في محافظة الإسكندرية، بعد أن تمّت إزالة عداد المياه الخاص بمنزله، الذي لم يأتِ للعيش فيه منذ 15 عاماً.
وقال توفيق عبدالحميد في تصريح خاص لـ صحيفة «عكاظ»، إنه يمتلك منزلاً منذ سنوات طويلة في محافظة الإسكندرية، كان يطل على البحر مباشرة، ولكن لم يكن يعيش فيه لفترة طويلة منذ 15 عاماً بسبب تعدد البناءات حول منزله التي جعلته غير مناسبٍ له.
وأشار الفنان المصري أنه كان يدفع إيصالات للخدمات طول فترة غلق منزله، لكنه لاحظ بشكل مفاجئ إزالة عداد مياه وأيضا فاتورة مستحقات المياه كانت أكثر مما ينبغي ولم تكن طبيعية، قبل أن يفاجأ برفع العداد وتغريمه 20 ألف جنيه.
وأضاف «توفيق عبدالحميد» أنه طالب الموظف الذي حرَّر محضر الغرامة أن يطلع على عداد الكهرباء ليتأكد من عدم الاستهلاك فطالبه بدفع 2,000 جنيه فورًا، ما جعله يغضب من الأمر واشتعلت الأزمة بينهما.
وأكد «عبدالحميد» أنه تواصل معه هاتفياً المهندس أحمد جابر رئيس شركة مياه الشرب والصرف الصحي في الإسكندرية لحل الأزمة، لافتاً أن الأمر تمّت معالجته موجهاً الشكر له على فعله الذي فاق التوقعات، وهو يمثل قدوة لموظف عام يُقتدى بها.
وحول آخر تطورات حالته الصحية، قال توفيق عبدالحميد إن حالته الصحية أصبحت بالوقت الحالي ليست جيدة، ولا يستطيع التحرك إلا بصعوبة في منزله، لافتًا أنه يواظب على تناول العلاج والمتابعة مع الأطباء بشكل يومي.
يذكر أن آخر أعمال توفيق عبدالحميد الدرامية كان مسلسل «يوتيرن»، بطولة الفنانة ريهام حجاج، الذي عُرض في سباق رمضان 2022، ومن ثم قرر الاعتزال وابتعد عن الساحة الفنية بسبب أزماته الصحية وتأثيرها على حركته.

Tawfiq Abdel Hamid stated in a special interview with the newspaper "Okaz" that he has owned a house for many years in Alexandria, which overlooks the sea directly, but he has not lived in it for a long time, specifically for 15 years, due to the numerous constructions around his house that made it unsuitable for him.
The Egyptian artist indicated that he had been paying utility bills throughout the period his house was closed, but he suddenly noticed the removal of the water meter and that the water bill was higher than it should be and was not normal, before he was surprised by the removal of the meter and fined 20,000 Egyptian pounds.
Tawfiq Abdel Hamid added that he asked the employee who issued the fine to check the electricity meter to confirm there was no consumption, but the employee demanded he pay 2,000 pounds immediately, which made him angry and escalated the crisis between them.
Abdel Hamid confirmed that he was contacted by Engineer Ahmed Gaber, the head of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Company in Alexandria, to resolve the crisis, noting that the matter was addressed and expressing his gratitude for his actions that exceeded expectations, stating that he is a role model for public employees to emulate.
Regarding the latest developments in his health condition, Tawfiq Abdel Hamid said that his health is currently not good, and he can only move with difficulty in his home, noting that he is committed to taking his medication and following up with doctors daily.
It is worth mentioning that Tawfiq Abdel Hamid's last dramatic work was the series "Yoturn," starring the actress Riham Haggag, which aired during the Ramadan 2022 season, after which he decided to retire and stepped away from the artistic scene due to his health crises and their impact on his mobility.
