خرج الفنان المصري محمد رمضان عن صمته، ليرد على الجدل المثار بشأن مزاعم دفعه 3500 دولار لالتقاط صورة مع لارا ترمب، زوجة إيريك نجل الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب. وأكد رمضان أنه تلقى دعوة شخصية من لارا ترمب لحضور فعالية في نيويورك لدعم الموسيقى، مشيراً إلى أنهما يحضّران مفاجأة سيتم الكشف عنها قريباً.
رمضان نشر عبر حسابه على «فيسبوك» توضيحاً قال فيه: «سافرت من مصر إلى نيويورك بدعوة من لارا ترمب شخصياً، لحضور فعالية لدعم الموسيقى في العالم، وليس لدعم كلاب الشوارع». واستغل رمضان الجدل للترويج لأغنيته الجديدة قائلاً: «بالمناسبة.. أغنيتي (مفيش طبطبة) تصدر الأربعاء الساعة 4 بتوقيت مصر».
الجدل بدأ بعد أن كشفت تقارير أن لارا ترمب أطلقت أخيراً حملة إنسانية لجمع التبرعات لصالح القطط والكلاب الضالة، عبر حفل يبلغ سعر تذكرته 1000 دولار، مع إتاحة التقاط صور تذكارية معها مقابل 3500 دولار. هذا الأمر دفع عدداً من رواد مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي للتشكيك في تصريحات رمضان، واتهامه بمحاولة إخفاء السبب الحقيقي وراء مشاركته في الفعالية.

He took advantage of the controversy to promote his new song, saying: "By the way, my song (Mafeesh Tabtabah) will be released on Wednesday at 4 PM Egypt time."
The controversy began after reports revealed that Lara Trump recently launched a humanitarian campaign to raise funds for stray cats and dogs through an event with a ticket price of $1,000, allowing for commemorative photos with her for $3,500. This led many social media users to question Ramadan's statements and accuse him of trying to hide the real reason behind his participation in the event.
