كشف المخرج المصري كريم العدل، في تصريح خاص لـ«عكاظ»، كواليس التحضير لمسلسل «220 يوم» الذي يجمعه بالفنان كريم فهمي والفنانة الأردنية صبا مبارك، موضحًا أن العمل استغرق عامين من التحضيرات المكثفة. وأشار إلى أن أبرز التحديات تمثلت في صعوبة اختيار مواقع التصوير التي تتطلب مواصفات خاصة تتناسب مع أحداث المسلسل، إضافة إلى تجهيز المؤثرات الخاصة بالمكياج وتعدد المراحل العمرية للشخصيات، مؤكدًا حرصه على متابعة أدق التفاصيل منذ اختيار اللوكيشن وحتى تدريب الفنانين لضمان تقديم عمل متكامل.
وعن تعاونه الثاني مع كريم فهمي، أكد العدل أن هناك «كيمياء فنية» تجمعهما، ما يسهل عملية العمل المشترك، إذ تتشابه وجهات نظرهما في تناول الدراما والسيناريو وأبعاد الشخصيات. وكشف أنه اصطحب كريم فهمي لزيارة أطباء أورام، لفهم الحالة النفسية لمرضى السرطان عن قرب، وهو ما ساعد في رسم الشخصيات بدقة، مشيرًا إلى أن هذه النماذج موجودة في كل بيت، ما يمنح العمل واقعية أكبر.
وفي ما يخص طموحاته المستقبلية، أعرب العدل عن رغبته في تقديم عمل فني عن القضية الفلسطينية بزاوية جديدة غير مطروحة من قبل، بعيدًا عن الأغراض التجارية أو المكاسب المادية، مؤكدًا أن نجاح مثل هذا المشروع يتطلب سيناريو مدروسًا بعناية يلمس وجدان الجمهور ويقدّم رؤية إنسانية وفنية أعمق من الأعمال التقليدية التي تناولت القضية سابقًا.
The Egyptian director Karim Al-Adl revealed in a special statement to "Okaz" the behind-the-scenes preparations for the series "220 Days," which features actor Karim Fahmy and Jordanian actress Saba Mubarak. He explained that the project took two years of intensive preparations. He pointed out that the main challenges were the difficulty of choosing filming locations that require specific specifications to match the events of the series, in addition to preparing the special effects for makeup and the various age stages of the characters, emphasizing his commitment to following the smallest details from selecting the location to training the actors to ensure a complete work.
Regarding his second collaboration with Karim Fahmy, Al-Adl confirmed that there is an "artistic chemistry" between them, which facilitates the process of working together, as their viewpoints on drama, screenplay, and character dimensions are similar. He revealed that he took Karim Fahmy to visit oncologists to understand the psychological state of cancer patients up close, which helped in accurately shaping the characters, noting that these examples exist in every home, giving the work greater realism.
As for his future ambitions, Al-Adl expressed his desire to present an artistic work about the Palestinian cause from a new angle that has not been addressed before, away from commercial purposes or material gains, emphasizing that the success of such a project requires a carefully studied screenplay that touches the audience's emotions and offers a deeper human and artistic vision than the traditional works that have previously addressed the issue.
