كشف الصحفي الإيطالي فابريزيو رومانو تفاؤل المسؤولين في نادي برشلونة الإسباني لإتمام صفقة انتقال ماركوس راشفورد بشكل دائم في الصيف القادم، مؤكداً توصل برشلونة وراشفورد إلى اتفاق بينما يصر نادي مانشستر يونايتد على دفع مبلغ 30 مليون جنيه إسترليني بالكامل مقابل بيع عقده.
كما كشفت تقارير صحفية إمكانية انتقال راشفورد بشكل نهائي من مانشستر يونايتد إلى برشلونة، بعد انتهاء فترة إعارته لبرشلونة بنهاية الموسم وعزم برشلونة على تفعيل بند شراء المهاجم ماركوس راشفورد من يونايتد مقابل 30 مليون يورو. وأضافت الصحيفة أن إدارة برشلونة توصلت إلى اتفاق مع إدارة النادي الإنجليزي يقضي بدفع قيمة صفقة راشفورد على 3 دفعات سنوية بقيمة 10 ملايين يورو لكل دفعة.
وأوضحت التقارير أن الصفقة متوقفة بسبب موافقة برشلونة على قواعد اللعب المالي النظيف في الدوري الإسباني، في حين ترى إدارة يونايتد أن القيمة السوقية للاعب ستصل إلى 60 مليون يورو، وهو ما أثار استياء بعض أعضاء النادي.
من جهة أخرى، لا يرغب راشفورد في العودة إلى أولد ترافورد، ما يجعل برشلونة الوجهة الأقرب له في المستقبل. وخلال هذا الموسم شارك راشفورد في 34 مباراة مع برشلونة، حيث سجل 10 أهداف وقدم 13 تمريرة حاسمة.

Reports also disclosed the possibility of Rashford's permanent transfer from Manchester United to Barcelona after his loan period with Barcelona ends at the end of the season, with Barcelona determined to activate the purchase clause for striker Marcus Rashford from United for €30 million. The newspaper added that Barcelona's management has reached an agreement with the English club's management to pay the transfer fee for Rashford in three annual installments of €10 million each.
The reports clarified that the deal is pending due to Barcelona's compliance with the financial fair play rules in La Liga, while United's management believes that the player's market value will reach €60 million, which has caused discontent among some club members.
