علق الفنان المصري أحمد عبد العزيز على الجدل المثار بشأن الفيديو المتداول له على نطاق واسع خلال الساعات الماضية، الذي ظهر فيه وهو يمر بجوار شاب مد يده لمصافحته دون أن يستجيب له ورفض مصافحة الشاب، ما تسبب في موجة انتقادات على مواقع التواصل.
وأصدر أحمد عبد العزيز بياناً ليكشف حقيقة الأمر، في منشور عبر حسابه الشخصي على منصة «فيسبوك»، وقال إن ما حدث كان سوء تفاهم لحظي، وليس كما تم تداوله على نطاق واسع أو فهمه من قبل البعض.
وكتب أحمد عبد العزيز في منشور قائلاً: «انتشر مؤخراً فيديو اتفهم غلط، على إني رفضت أصافح شاب من الجمهور. الحقيقة إن الموقف كان سريع جدا، وأنا كنت متأخر عن الفعالية وبجري علشان أركب الأسانسير وأطلع لمكان العرض، ولما شفته واقف افتكرت إنه من المنظمين وبيفتح لي الطريق، مخدتش بالي إنه بيمد إيده للمصافحة».
وأضاف أنه لم يرفض يوماً مصافحة أو التصوير مع جمهوره، معلقاً: «عمري ما رفضت سلام أو صورة مع حد من جمهوري، بالعكس أنا دائما بشوف إنكم السبب في نجاحي، ومحبتكم أكبر دعم ليا».
وتابع: «اللي حصل كان سوء فهم، وأتمنى الناس تتفهم إن في لحظات سريعة ممكن تتفسر غلط. أنا واحد منكم».
وكان آخر أعمال أحمد عبد العزيز الدرامية مسلسل «فهد البطل»، الذي عرض في موسم رمضان الماضي، وكان بطولة أحمد العوضي وشاركه كل من: الفنانة كارولين عزمي والفنانة ميرنا نور الدين والفنان عصام السقا، والفنانة القديرة صفاء الطوخي والفنانة صفوة والفنان القدير محمود البزاوي وعدد من نجوم الفن.

Ahmed Abdel Aziz issued a statement to clarify the truth of the matter, in a post on his personal account on the "Facebook" platform, stating that what happened was a momentary misunderstanding, and not as widely circulated or understood by some.
Ahmed Abdel Aziz wrote in a post saying: "Recently, a video circulated that was misunderstood, as if I refused to shake hands with a young man from the audience. The truth is that the situation was very quick, and I was late for the event and was rushing to catch the elevator to go to the performance area. When I saw him standing there, I thought he was one of the organizers clearing the way for me, and I didn't realize he was extending his hand for a handshake."
He added that he has never refused to shake hands or take pictures with his audience, commenting: "I have never refused a greeting or a picture with anyone from my audience; on the contrary, I always see that you are the reason for my success, and your love is my greatest support."
He continued: "What happened was a misunderstanding, and I hope people understand that there are quick moments that can be misinterpreted. I am one of you."
Ahmed Abdel Aziz's latest dramatic work was the series "Fahd Al-Batal," which aired in the last Ramadan season, starring Ahmed Al-Awadhi, alongside artists Caroline Azmy, Mirna Nour El-Din, Essam El-Sakka, the esteemed Safaa El-Toukhy, Safwa, the esteemed Mahmoud El-Bazawy, and several other stars of the art scene.
