قتلت فجر اليوم (الإثنين) الفنانة ديالا الوادي، ابنة الموسيقار العراقي صلحي الوادي، في هجوم مسلح على منزلها بالعاصمة السورية دمشق.
وتحمل ديالا الوادي الجنسية البريطانية وتعيش في حي «المالكي» الراقي بالعاصمة السورية دمشق منذ سنوات. وتعرّض منزل ديالا الوادي، وهي ابنة مؤسس «المعهد العالي للموسيقى والأوركسترا السيمفونية»، في دمشق، لعملية سطو مسلح، أدى لمقتلها، بحسب صحيفة «الوطن» الرسمية. وكشفت مصادر سورية أن ديالا قتلت خنقاً بعدما لاحقها بعض الأشخاص واقتحموا منزلها في حي «المالكي» بغرض السرقة. وبين«المرصد السوري لحقوق الإنسان»، أن «الجاني طارد الضحية ديالا حتى مدخل منزلها، قبل أن يقتحم المكان وينفّذ جريمته، مستوليًا على مبالغ مالية ومصاغ ذهبي، ثم لاذ بالفرار إلى جهة مجهولة».
This morning (Monday), artist Diyala Al-Wadi, daughter of Iraqi musician Salhi Al-Wadi, was killed in an armed attack on her home in the Syrian capital, Damascus.
Diyala Al-Wadi holds British nationality and has been living in the upscale "Al-Malki" neighborhood of Damascus for several years. Diyala's home, where she is the daughter of the founder of the "Higher Institute of Music and Symphony Orchestra" in Damascus, was subjected to an armed robbery that led to her death, according to the official newspaper "Al-Watan." Syrian sources revealed that Diyala was strangled after being pursued by some individuals who broke into her home in the "Al-Malki" neighborhood with the intent to steal. The "Syrian Observatory for Human Rights" stated that "the perpetrator chased the victim Diyala to the entrance of her home before breaking in and committing his crime, seizing cash and gold jewelry, and then fleeing to an unknown location."
