في مشهد مهيب غلب عليه التصفيق والبكاء والورود، خرج جثمان الموسيقار اللبناني الكبير زياد الرحباني، صباح اليوم (الإثنين)، من مستشفى خوري في منطقة الحمراء ببيروت، وسط حضور الآلاف من محبيه الذين احتشدوا منذ ساعات الفجر لتوديع صاحب البصمة المتفردة في الموسيقى والمسرح العربي.
تحوّلت لحظة خروج الجثمان إلى مسيرة حب استثنائية، تخللتها الزغاريد وغناء مقاطع من ألحان الراحل التي رافقت أجيالًا، في وداع رمزي لرجل أحبّه الناس لأنه قال بصوتهم وعزف لآلامهم وسخر من واقعهم بنبض فني نادر.
وانطلقت الجنازة نحو كنيسة رقاد السيدة بالمحيدثة في بلدة بكفيا بمنطقة المتن، وتعالت صيحات الوداع والدموع، بينما ألقى الجمهور الزهور على نعشه، في مشهد مؤثر ترك أثرًا بالغًا في كل من شهده أو تابع لحظاته.
وأعلنت أسرة الرحباني أن العزاء سيكون في صالون الكنيسة اليوم من الساعة 11 صباحًا حتى السادسة مساءً، وكذلك غدا (الثلاثاء) خلال التوقيت نفسه.
ويُعد زياد الرحباني، ابن الأسطورتين فيروز وعاصي الرحباني، أحد أبرز المجددين في الموسيقى والمسرح السياسي الساخر، وقد ترك إرثًا فنيًا غنيًا يعبّر عن الإنسان العربي بأسلوب نقدي فريد، يجمع بين العمق والبساطة، والتمرد والمحبة.
لقد رحل زياد.. لكن صوته سيبقى حيًا في الضمير العربي، يعزف ما لا يُقال، ويقول ما لا يُعزف.
In a majestic scene filled with applause, tears, and flowers, the body of the great Lebanese musician Ziad Rahbani was taken out this morning (Monday) from Khoury Hospital in the Hamra area of Beirut, amidst the presence of thousands of his fans who gathered since the early hours of dawn to bid farewell to the man who left a unique mark on Arab music and theater.
The moment of the body’s exit transformed into an extraordinary march of love, filled with ululations and singing excerpts from the melodies of the late artist that accompanied generations, in a symbolic farewell to a man loved by the people because he spoke their voice, played their pains, and mocked their reality with a rare artistic pulse.
The funeral procession headed towards the Church of the Dormition of Our Lady in the town of Bickfaya in the Metn area, as cries of farewell and tears rose, while the audience threw flowers onto his coffin, in a touching scene that left a profound impact on everyone who witnessed or followed its moments.
The Rahbani family announced that condolences will be held in the church hall today from 11 AM to 6 PM, and also tomorrow (Tuesday) during the same hours.
Ziad Rahbani, the son of the legends Fairuz and Assi Rahbani, is considered one of the most prominent innovators in music and satirical political theater, having left a rich artistic legacy that expresses the Arab human experience in a unique critical style, combining depth and simplicity, rebellion and love.
Ziad has departed... but his voice will remain alive in the Arab conscience, playing what cannot be said, and saying what cannot be played.
