أعلن وزير خارجية سلطنة عُمان بدر البوسعيدي اليوم (الأحد) أن باب الدبلوماسية لا يزال مفتوحاً من أجل حل الصراع مع إيران، مؤكداً أنه «كلما استؤنفت المحادثات في وقت أقرب كان ذلك أفضل للجميع».
وكتب البوسعيدي، على حسابه في منصة «إكس»، أن المحادثات التي عُقدت في جنيف «أحرزت تقدماً حقيقياً نحو اتفاق غير مسبوق بين إيران والولايات المتحدة»، مضيفاً: «رغم أن الأمل كان تجنب الحرب، فإن اندلاعها لا ينبغي أن يعني انطفاء أمل السلام». بالمقابل، نقلت صحيفة «ديلي ميل» البريطانية عن الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب قوله: «إن الحرب على إيران ستستمر 4 أسابيع على الأرجح».
وتزامن ذلك مع تعهد قادة فرنسا وبريطانيا وألمانيا، في بيان مشترك، باستخدام خطوات للدفاع عن مصالحهم ومصالح حلفائهم في المنطقة التي تستهدفها إيران، مؤكدين «ربما تتمثل الخطوات في تمكين اتخاذ إجراءات دفاعية ضرورية ومتناسبة لتدمير قدرة إيران على إطلاق الصواريخ والطائرات المسيرة من مصدرها».
واعربت الدول الثلاث عن استيائها الشديد إزاء الهجمات الصاروخية العشوائية وغير المتناسبة التي شنتها إيران.
في الوقت ذاته، قالت وزارة الداخلية البحرينية إن «العدوان الإيراني استهدف إحدى المنشآت البحرية بالقرب من ميناء سلمان»، موضحة في بيان أن الدفاع المدني يباشر إجراءاته للسيطرة على الحريق.
Oman's Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi announced today (Sunday) that the door to diplomacy remains open for resolving the conflict with Iran, emphasizing that "the sooner talks resume, the better it is for everyone."
Al-Busaidi wrote on his account on the "X" platform that the talks held in Geneva "made real progress towards an unprecedented agreement between Iran and the United States," adding: "Although the hope was to avoid war, its outbreak should not mean the extinguishing of the hope for peace." In contrast, the British newspaper "Daily Mail" quoted U.S. President Donald Trump as saying: "The war on Iran will likely last 4 weeks."
This coincided with a commitment from the leaders of France, Britain, and Germany, in a joint statement, to take steps to defend their interests and those of their allies in the region targeted by Iran, confirming that "the steps may involve enabling necessary and proportionate defensive actions to destroy Iran's capability to launch missiles and drones from their source."
The three countries expressed their strong dissatisfaction with the indiscriminate and disproportionate missile attacks launched by Iran.
At the same time, the Bahraini Ministry of Interior stated that "the Iranian aggression targeted one of the maritime facilities near Salman Port," clarifying in a statement that civil defense is taking measures to control the fire.
