قرر وكيل وزارة الثقافة رئيس البيت الفني للفنون الشعبية والاستعراضية الفنان المصري تامر عبدالمنعم، إلغاء حفل المطرب المصري عمر كمال، الذي كان من المقرر إقامته الخميس القادم على مسرح محمد عبدالوهاب بالإسكندرية.
وجاء قرار إلغاء حفل عمر كمال بناء على طلب منه نظراً لسفره خارج البلاد في هذا التوقيت، ولم يتم الاستقرار على الموعد الجديد للحفل.
ومن جانبه، أصدر رئيس البيت الفني للفنون الشعبية والاستعراضية، أخيراً، بياناً رسمياً جاء فيه أن «إلغاء حفل عمر كمال جاء بناء على طلبه ورغبته، وكنا نتمنى إقامة الحفل ولكن الظروف لم تسمح».
وعلى جانب آخر، شارك عمر كمال في غناء «تتر» مسلسل «الحلانجي» بطولة محمد رجب، وشارك في العمل كل من عبير صبري، أيتن عامر، محمود قابيل، دانا حلبي، عمرو رجب، محمد لطفي، إبراهيم السمان، أحمد وفيق، ميمي جمال، طارق صبري، إيناس النجار، سامح الصريطي وآخرين.
يذكر أن عمر كمال قدم «دويتو» مع عبدالباسط حمودة في فيديو كليب جديد بعنوان «إحنا البلد»، من كلمات مصطفى الجن، ألحان حسن إش إش، توزيع أشرف البرنس.

It is worth mentioning that Omar Kamal released a "duet" with Abdel Baset Hamouda in a new music video titled "Ehna Al-Balad," with lyrics by Mostafa Al-Jin, music by Hassan Esh Esh, and arrangement by Ashraf Al-Prince.
