The film "Al-Zurfah: Escape from the Hell of Hanhonia" topped the box office in Saudi Arabia during its opening weekend, surpassing Hollywood films such as "F1," "28 Years Later," "Jurassic World: Rebirth," "Dangerous Animals," and "John Wick: Ballerina."

The film attracted more than 184,000 viewers, achieving revenues of 7 million, 903 thousand, and 558 Saudi riyals (equivalent to 2 million, 165 thousand, and 358 US dollars) during its first three days of screening.

The film was produced by Al-Shamisi Films and TV11 in partnership with the Big Time Fund, and distributed by Qanat Company. It has proven its popularity since its launch, attracting family audiences and meeting the aspirations of viewers seeking local content with a global cinematic touch.

The events of "Al-Zurfah" revolve around three young men who coincidentally meet through playing online video games. Despite their differing goals and ambitions in life, they find themselves working together in the same restaurant belonging to the Hanhonia Holding Group.

The plot thickens when the three become involved in a plan to steal a rare piece of art from the personal museum of the famous businessman Abdul Latif Hanhonia. However, things do not go as planned, and their lives are turned upside down, ending up in Al-Jafrah prison, where the events unfold in a mix of comedy and thrilling drama.
