في أجواء احتفالية شهدها قصر الشعب بدمشق، وقعت وزارة الإعلام السورية مذكرة تفاهم مع شركة «المها الدولية» لتنفيذ مشروع مدينة متكاملة للإنتاج الإعلامي والفني باسم «بوابة دمشق»، وذلك بحضور الرئيس السوري أحمد الشرع، وعدد من أبرز نجوم وصنّاع الدراما السورية.
وأكد وزير الإعلام حمزة المصطفى أن مدينة «بوابة دمشق» تمثّل نقلة نوعية في بنية الإعلام والدراما داخل سورية.
وأضاف: «نطمح لإنتاج 25 عملاً هذا العام، لنثبت أن سورية الجديدة قادرة بأن تكون أرضاً خصبة للإبداع، وجاذبة لشركات الإنتاج العربية والعالمية»، مشيراً إلى أن المشروع يُعد الأول من نوعه في البلاد، وسيقام على مساحة تُقدّر بمليوني متر مربع، وبتكلفة تصل إلى 1.5 مليار دولار أمريكي، موفّراً بيئة مثالية للإنتاج الإعلامي والسينمائي عبر استديوهات داخلية وخارجية تحاكي الطراز العربي والإسلامي التاريخي.
من جانبها، ذكرت رشا شربتجي، التي تألقت في الحفل، أن بوابة دمشق تضم 9 نماذج لمدن عربية وإسلامية من بينها دمشق، القدس، القيروان، ومراكش، إضافة لاستديوهات ضخمة بتقنيات متطورة، ما يجعل المشروع الأول من نوعه بالشرق الأوسط.
وشهد حفل التوقيع حضوراً لافتاً من نجوم الدراما والإخراج السوري، من بينهم: الليث حجو، مكسيم خليل، جهاد عبدو، مازن الناطور، إبراهيم الشيخ، وإيناس حقي، الذين عبروا عن تفاؤلهم بإطلاق هذا المشروع الذي يعيد الأمل بإحياء مجد الدراما السورية.
In a festive atmosphere witnessed at the People's Palace in Damascus, the Syrian Ministry of Information signed a memorandum of understanding with "Al-Maha International" to implement a comprehensive media and artistic production city named "Damascus Gate," in the presence of Syrian President Ahmad al-Shara, along with several prominent stars and creators of Syrian drama.
Minister of Information Hamza Mustafa confirmed that the "Damascus Gate" city represents a qualitative leap in the structure of media and drama within Syria.
He added: "We aspire to produce 25 works this year, to prove that the new Syria is capable of being a fertile ground for creativity and attractive to Arab and international production companies," noting that the project is the first of its kind in the country, and will be built on an area estimated at two million square meters, with a cost reaching 1.5 billion US dollars, providing an ideal environment for media and cinematic production through internal and external studios that mimic the historical Arab and Islamic style.
For her part, Rasha Sharbatji, who shone at the ceremony, mentioned that Damascus Gate includes 9 models of Arab and Islamic cities, including Damascus, Jerusalem, Kairouan, and Marrakech, in addition to huge studios with advanced technologies, making the project the first of its kind in the Middle East.
The signing ceremony witnessed a remarkable presence of stars from Syrian drama and directing, including: Lyth Hajjo, Maxim Khalil, Jihad Abdo, Mazen Al-Natour, Ibrahim Al-Sheikh, and Enas Haqi, who expressed their optimism about the launch of this project that restores hope for reviving the glory of Syrian drama.
