The lack of services in the village of "Al-Radhah" in the Jazan region has caused significant suffering for the residents, creating a concern that has not been alleviated by the village's location along the international road linking the districts of Beesh and Al-Darb to obtain essential services. A number of residents expressed to "Okaz" during their tour their hope that the concerned authorities would visit the village to assess its needs and provide urgent solutions instead of mere promises.
According to the residents, the suffering begins at the entrance to the village, which lacks a guiding sign and has a road that is severely damaged by potholes, ditches, and patches, which have become a hallmark and caused damage to vehicles.
They added: The situation does not end there; the main road connecting the village to the Samra center suffers from a lack of asphalt, despite the fact that several neighboring villages benefit from this road, which has increased the suffering of its residents. Their suffering intensifies during the rainy seasons, as the road turns into muddy swamps, and in the summer, it becomes dusty.
Mohammed Al-Najai confirmed that they submitted requests to the municipality for asphalting the village entrances and lighting the village, and the municipality promised to pave the roads, but there has been no actual step taken to fulfill these promises.
Isa Al-Hudari told "Okaz": The village needs essential services such as ATMs, which would assist residents, especially beneficiaries of social security, in accessing their entitlements. Al-Hudari criticized the health services in the village, explaining that the population is nearly 5,000, yet it lacks a health center, forcing patients to travel long distances to receive treatment. He emphasized the necessity of providing a health center that caters to all residents of the village, regardless of their categories and conditions, to end their suffering in traveling long distances in search of treatment.
Several residents are calling for the establishment of a secondary school for boys and addressing the weak internet network.
