The athletes have not agreed on an opinion as much as they have on the Al-Ahli stands, to the extent that my colleague Khalid Jassim said his famous quote: "I am from the Al-Ahli stands." This statement carries deep meanings embodied by stars like Mohammed Al-Daeyea, who has often sung the praises of the Al-Ahli stands. Such a connection represents a taste that has nothing to do with your club affiliations and reveals the truth that this audience has a crowd that delights them.
The great sports figure Khalil Al-Zayani appeared in his recent interview with Channel 8 and gave justice to the Al-Ahli fans with a statement that placed the truth in its agreed context.
Al-Zayani did not just express an opinion; he provided a testimony for history that some of the media and fans of Al-Ittihad received with resentment, even though the man only spoke the truth.
The great coach Khalil Al-Zayani did not just say a word and remain silent; he elaborated through loyalty and presence, and this is how great people express their opinions for history.
I do not see this consensus as disrespectful to the Al-Ittihad stands as much as it is a message of admiration that deserves respect.
All club fans, including the two Riyadh giants, did not feel threatened by this distinction that the Al-Ahli stands have garnered in admiration; this is just a small part of what the stands deserve, having led the renewal in the arts of cheering with excellence. So why not turn your rejection of praising the Al-Ahli stands into motivation for your own stands instead of chasing an illusion of what we were?
We hold the Al-Ittihad stands in respect and appreciation, and this is an ethical duty we will not deviate from. What has happened to you that you even refuse fairness?
My colleague Nabih Saati commented on the opinion of the great Khalil Al-Zayani: "We know that Captain Khalil Al-Zayani does not love Al-Ittihad... Yet we hold him in high regard. As for popularity, loyalty, and creativity, all of these are fairly attributed to the Al-Ittihad fans."
I can accept Nabih saying what he says about Al-Ittihad fans since he is, after all, an Al-Ittihad supporter, but I reject his claim that Al-Zayani does not love Al-Ittihad.
So, does your perception suggest that anyone who is fair to Al-Ahli does not love Al-Ittihad, or is it just a slip of the tongue?
