A major adventure for a football analyst or sports critic to nominate a specific club to win a championship before it begins, especially if they adopt a tone of certainty and assurance in their statement, relying on a preconceived conclusion, knowing that football results cannot be predicted no matter the technical differences. How many matches and tournaments have ended far from all expectations and nominations, even bets? In the world of the round ball, strange surprises have occurred and continue to occur, leaving us astonished and bewildered.
- Let me confess to the dear reader: I have "lost my mind" when I dare today to assert - in this whisper - that Al-Qadisiyah, owned by Aramco, will win its match against Al-Ahli in the Saudi Super Cup taking place next Wednesday in China, with a 100% probability, to face either Al-Ittihad or Al-Nassr. I even go further to confirm - with the same probability - that it will be crowned champion at the expense of either of the two teams in the final. Therefore, I advise the fans of the three clubs: do not tire yourselves, and do not strain your nerves, for the matter has been settled... the championship belongs to Al-Qadisiyah! With sincere apologies to those who may be disturbed by this prediction, which I have framed as "news" before it happens, and knowledge is with God first and last.
- One might say: It would have been more appropriate for you to nominate Al-Ittihad, as it is closer to your heart, in addition to the harmony that the "Tigers" are known for; and because it is the champion of the league and cup in the last season.
My response: Yes, it is likely that Al-Nassr will surpass on Tuesday with a 55% chance. It is true that the Al-Nassr team is led by Jesus, who has the experience and precise knowledge of Al-Ittihad's strengths and weaknesses, in addition to the new local and foreign elements. But I do not believe that the harmony within Al-Nassr is better than that of Al-Ittihad.
- In the context of this adventure, I do not deny the right of Al-Ahli fans to hold great hopes that their team will surpass Al-Qadisiyah and achieve the title. This is a legitimate right for the champion of the "Asian elite." But excuse me, in my opinion, these are merely dreams and wishes, applicable to the fans of all three clubs, not just Al-Ahli alone.
- Perhaps those who have closely followed Al-Qadisiyah's contracts in terms of quantity, size, and financial value, in addition to a great coach with a name, history, and notable presence last season, will not blame me and will fully understand why I have "lost my mind." However, this madness does not apply much to the league and cup championships this season, as the situation is different, and each incident has its own discussion.
