أبدى عدد من أهالي مراكز وقرى محافظة الحناكية ومراكز الهميج، الحسو، هدبان، طلال، بلغة، بطحي والقرى التابعة، قلقهم من الانقطاعات اليومية المتكررة للتيار الكهربائي، التي سببّت لهم إزعاجاً، لا سيما في هذه الفترة التي دخل معها فصل الصيف، وناشدوا الجهات المختصة بإيجاد الحلول.
وقال عبدالرحمن المطيري لـ «عكاظ»: تكررت الانقطاعات في القرى الواقعة شرقي الحناكية، وفي بعض الأيام تصل الانقطاعات إلى ما يقارب الـ20 مرة في اليوم، وتسبّبت الانقطاعات في تعطّل أجهزة التكييف والثلاجات. واتفق معه خالد المطيري، وأضاف: أصبحت الانقطاعات اليومية مألوفة لدى الأهالي حتى لكبار السن الذين يعانون من أمراض ويستخدمون أجهزة طبية كأجهزة التنفس، والانقطاعات المتكررة تضعهم في حالة الخطر، بل إن البعض يحملون كبار السن في السيارات المكيفة حمايةً لهم من الحرارة. أما بدر الحربي فقال: إن الأمر بات لا يطاق بسبب الانقطاعات اليومية التي تضع السكان في مأزق في ظل عدم معالجة شركة الكهرباء للوضع منذ فترة طويلة ولم تحل المشكلة إلا برسائل SMS ترد من الشركة ونراها بمثابة المسكنات للمريض.
واختتم فهد المطيري قائلاً: لم تسلم الجهات الحكومية في المراكز والقرى من هذه الانقطاعات، بل إنها تأثرت من المشكلة، إذ تعمل لفترة ثم تتوقف ساعاتٍ.

A number of residents from the centers and villages of Al-Hanakiyah and the centers of Al-Hameej, Al-Hasu, Hadban, Talal, Balagh, Bathi, and the affiliated villages expressed their concern over the repeated daily power outages, which have caused them inconvenience, especially during this time as summer has begun. They urged the relevant authorities to find solutions.
Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi told "Okaz": The outages have been frequent in the villages located east of Al-Hanakiyah, and on some days, the outages reach nearly 20 times a day, causing disruptions to air conditioning units and refrigerators. Khalid Al-Mutairi agreed with him and added: Daily outages have become familiar to residents, even for the elderly who suffer from illnesses and use medical devices like respirators; the repeated outages put them in danger. In fact, some people carry the elderly in air-conditioned cars to protect them from the heat. As for Badr Al-Harbi, he said: The situation has become unbearable due to the daily outages that put residents in a predicament, especially since the electricity company has not addressed the situation for a long time, and the problem has only been resolved with SMS messages from the company, which we see as mere painkillers for the patient.
Fahd Al-Mutairi concluded by saying: Government agencies in the centers and villages have not been spared from these outages; rather, they have been affected by the problem, as they operate for a while and then stop for hours.
