عُثر مساء الأربعاء على مسؤول بلدي متوفياً داخل منزله في ولاية مدنين جنوب شرقي تونس، في واقعة لا تزال ملابساتها وأسبابها غير واضحة، وفقاً لمصدر أمني نقلت عنه إذاعة «موزاييك إف إم» المحلية.
وأوضح المصدر أن المتوفى سبق له شغل منصب الكاتب العام لبلدية سيدي مخلوف، كما تولّى رئاسة مصلحة النظافة في بلدية بنقردان، مسقط رأسه.
وفي أعقاب الحادثة، أذنت النيابة العمومية في مدنين بفتح تحقيق قضائي للكشف عن أسباب الوفاة وتحديد ملابساتها.
A municipal official was found dead in his home in the Medenine Governorate in southeastern Tunisia on Wednesday evening, in an incident whose circumstances and causes remain unclear, according to a security source quoted by the local radio station "Mosaic FM."
The source clarified that the deceased had previously held the position of Secretary General of the Sidi Makhlouf municipality and also served as the head of the sanitation department in the municipality of Ben Gardane, his birthplace.
Following the incident, the public prosecutor's office in Medenine ordered the opening of a judicial investigation to uncover the causes of death and determine the circumstances surrounding it.
