في الوقت الذي كان فيه نائب رئيس الأمن الرئاسي في أوزبكستان، أوتابك عمروف، يرافق حماه الرئيس شوكت ميرزيوييف في المؤتمرات الدولية، كان يخفي سراً خطيراً قد يعصف بمستقبله السياسي والعسكري بأكمله. فبينما يمنع القانون العسكري الصارم في بلاده أي مسؤول أمني من حمل جنسية مزدوجة، أظهرت وثائق مسربة حصول صهر الزعيم الأوزبكي سراً على جواز سفر عربي يتطلب أداء قسم الولاء، وذلك خلال زيارة إلى الشرق الأوسط.
لم تتوقف القصة عند حدود الأوراق السرية والجنسية المزدوجة التي خالفت قوانين البلاد، بل امتدت لتكشف إمبراطورية عقارية متنامية. ففي أوائل عام 2025، استحوذ عمروف على محفظة فاخرة تضم 13 شقة في أرقى أحياء مدينة عربية بقيمة تجاوزت 7 ملايين دولار، كانت مملوكة سابقاً لشقيقه رجل الأعمال. وشكلت أول أصول فاخرة ومؤكدة باسم الرجل الذي لطالما وصف بأنه «الكاردينال الرمادي» وصانع القرار الخفي في كواليس السلطة.
وبعيداً عن ساعات «ريتشارد ميل» الباهظة التي يتزين بها، والاتهامات السابقة التي ربطته بشبكات نفوذ ومصالح تجارية واسعة، يواجه عمروف اليوم تساؤلات أمنية وسياسية حرجة حول تضارب الولاءات. ورغم إعفائه من منصبه الأمني في أواخر 2024 وانتقاله لترؤس اللجنة الأولمبية، تطل هذه التسريبات لتكشف كيف تتقاطع أروقة الحكم والنفوذ مع أسرار المال والعقارات العابرة للحدود.

Despite being relieved of his security position in late 2024 and moving on to head the Olympic committee, these leaks reveal how the corridors of governance and influence intersect with the secrets of cross-border money and real estate.
