The Supreme Council for Media Regulation in Egypt has decided to suspend the program (The Bulldozer) hosted by Magdy Abdel Ghani, and to ban the appearance of football stars Rabi Yassin and Osama Hassan; this follows a heated verbal altercation that occurred between them live on air during an episode discussing Al Ahly's chances of winning the Egyptian league.
The council clarified in an official statement that it approved the recommendations of the Complaints Committee to summon the legal representative of the (Al Shams) channel, and to suspend the program until the investigations are completed, after violations were detected in the episode broadcast on September 19, 2026.
The incident began when Rabi Yassin predicted Al Ahly would win the league, to which Osama Hassan responded with the phrase "Come meet me," before the disagreement escalated when Yassin sarcastically asked him what he would do if Al Ahly won the title, using the phrase "Will you commit suicide or something?" The discussion turned into a heated argument that prompted Magdy Abdel Ghani to try to calm the situation, but Yassin left the studio angrily, forcing the program to go to a commercial break.
Investigations are still ongoing regarding the violations detected by the Media Monitoring Department, while the ban on Yassin and Hassan's appearances continues until the legal procedures are completed.
