أبدى النجم الفرنسي كيليان مبابي استياءه من سلسلة صور ساخرة جرى إنتاجها باستخدام الذكاء الاصطناعي، وانتشرت على منصات التواصل الاجتماعي، وظهر فيها بهيئة ديكتاتور خلال منافسات كأس العالم.
وأظهرت بعض الصور مبابي مرتديًا زيًا عسكريًا أو جالسًا على كرسي الحكم، فيما وضعته صور أخرى إلى جانب الزعيم السوفيتي السابق جوزيف ستالين وشخصيات تاريخية ارتبط اسمها بوقائع مثيرة للجدل.
وأقر مهاجم المنتخب الفرنسي بوجود جانب فكاهي في بعض المنشورات، لكنه رفض المقارنات مع شخصيات ارتبطت بجرائم ومآسٍ تاريخية.
وقال في حديث لمجلة «فرانس فوتبول»: «هناك جانب مضحك في الأمر، لأنك تشعر أن بعض الأشخاص يتعاملون معه بحسن نية».
وأضاف: «لكن هناك أيضًا جانب أقل طرافة، لأننا نعرف حجم الأضرار التي تسببت بها شخصيات كهذه عبر التاريخ»، متابعًا: «أن تتم مقارنتي بأشخاص قتلوا آخرين أو تسببوا في معاناة ملايين البشر... لا أعتقد أنني فعلت شيئًا من هذا القبيل في حياتي».
وأشار مبابي، الذي تجاوز الأرجنتيني ليونيل ميسي ليصبح صاحب أكبر عدد من الأهداف في تاريخ كأس العالم برصيد 22 هدفًا، إلى أن هذه المنشورات، حتى وإن قُدمت في إطار المزاح، تكشف أحيانًا عن نقص في الوعي.
وعندما ذُكّر بأن زميله في المنتخب الفرنسي عثمان ديمبيلي يطلق عليه لقب «موبوت»، في إشارة إلى الزعيم الكونغولي السابق موبوتو سيسي سيكو، اعتبر مبابي أن الأمر مختلف، موضحًا أن ديمبيلي أخذ اللقب من مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي ويتعامل معه على أنه مجرد مزحة.
French star Kylian Mbappé expressed his displeasure with a series of mocking images produced using artificial intelligence, which circulated on social media, depicting him as a dictator during the World Cup competitions.
Some images showed Mbappé wearing a military uniform or sitting on a throne, while other images placed him alongside former Soviet leader Joseph Stalin and historical figures associated with controversial events.
The French national team striker acknowledged that there is a humorous aspect to some of the posts, but he rejected comparisons with figures linked to crimes and historical tragedies.
He said in an interview with "France Football": "There is a funny side to it, because you feel that some people are dealing with it in good faith."
He added: "But there is also a less amusing side, because we know the extent of the damage caused by such figures throughout history," continuing: "To be compared to people who killed others or caused the suffering of millions... I don't think I've done anything like that in my life."
Mbappé, who surpassed Argentine Lionel Messi to become the all-time top scorer in World Cup history with 22 goals, pointed out that these posts, even if presented in a joking manner, sometimes reveal a lack of awareness.
When reminded that his teammate in the French national team, Ousmane Dembélé, is referred to as "Mobut," in reference to former Congolese leader Mobutu Sese Seko, Mbappé considered the matter different, explaining that Dembélé took the nickname from social media and treats it as just a joke.
