أعلنت وزارة الطوارئ الروسية ارتفاع حصيلة ضحايا الانهيار الجليدي الذي وقع في جمهورية قبردينو-بلقاريا، جنوبي روسيا، إلى 11 قتيلاً.
وأوضحت الوزارة أن ستة متسلقين أصيبوا جراء الانهيار ونُقلوا إلى المستشفيات، فيما لا يزال مصير ستة آخرين مجهولاً، مشيرة إلى تواصل عمليات البحث والإنقاذ بمشاركة 56 شخصاً.
وكان الانهيار الجليدي قد وقع، الأحد، على جبل ميجيرجي في وادي بيزينجي، واجتاح مجموعة من المتسلقين، فيما أفادت التقارير الأولية في حينه بمصرع شخصين وإصابة ثلاثة آخرين.
The Russian Emergency Ministry announced that the death toll from the avalanche that occurred in the Kabardino-Balkaria Republic, southern Russia, has risen to 11.
The ministry clarified that six climbers were injured in the avalanche and were taken to hospitals, while the fate of six others remains unknown, noting that search and rescue operations are ongoing with the participation of 56 people.
The avalanche occurred on Sunday on Mount Mezhirg in the Bzyb Valley, sweeping over a group of climbers, while initial reports at the time indicated that two people had died and three others were injured.
