أعلنت وزارة الداخلية المصرية، الأحد، تنفيذ عملية أمنية استباقية استهدفت بؤرًا إجرامية متورطة في جلب المواد المخدرة والأسلحة النارية غير المرخصة داخل عدد من المحافظات، مؤكدة مقتل خمسة عناصر جنائية شديدة الخطورة خلال الاشتباكات.
وذكرت الوزارة أن معلومات وتحريات قطاع الأمن العام وقطاع مكافحة المخدرات والأسلحة غير المرخصة كشفت عن نشاط مجموعات إجرامية تعمل على تهريب كميات من المواد المخدرة والأسلحة تمهيدًا لترويجها. وبناءً على ذلك، جرى استهداف تلك البؤر بالتنسيق مع قوات الأمن المركزي، ما أسفر عن مقتل العناصر المتورطة بعد تبادل لإطلاق النار.
وأوضحت الداخلية أن العناصر التي لقيت مصرعها سبق اتهامها والحكم عليها في قضايا جنائية متنوعة، شملت الاتجار بالمخدرات، وحيازة أسلحة نارية دون ترخيص، والسرقة بالإكراه، وهتك العرض، واستعراض القوة، والبلطجة، وسرقة وسائل النقل، والقتل، والضرب، والتبديد.
وأكدت الوزارة استمرار حملاتها الأمنية المكثفة لملاحقة العناصر الإجرامية وضبط الأسلحة والمخدرات، في إطار جهودها لتجفيف منابع الجريمة وتعزيز الأمن في مختلف المحافظات.
The Egyptian Ministry of Interior announced on Sunday the execution of a preemptive security operation targeting criminal hotspots involved in the trafficking of narcotic substances and unlicensed firearms within several governorates, confirming the death of five highly dangerous criminal elements during the clashes.
The ministry stated that information and investigations from the Public Security Sector and the Anti-Narcotics and Unlicensed Firearms Sector revealed the activities of criminal groups working to smuggle quantities of narcotics and firearms in preparation for their distribution. Accordingly, these hotspots were targeted in coordination with the Central Security Forces, resulting in the death of the involved elements after an exchange of gunfire.
The Ministry of Interior clarified that the elements who were killed had previously been accused and sentenced in various criminal cases, including drug trafficking, possession of firearms without a license, armed robbery, sexual assault, showing force, thuggery, vehicle theft, murder, assault, and misappropriation.
The ministry affirmed the continuation of its intensive security campaigns to pursue criminal elements and seize weapons and narcotics, as part of its efforts to dry up the sources of crime and enhance security across various governorates.
