لم يكن سائح خليجي يعلم أن رحلته إلى عاصمة الضباب لندن ستكون محطته الأخيرة في الحياة، وأن «ساعته الثمينة» التي يرتديها في معصمه ستتحول إلى دافع لجريمة قتل مروعة هزت الأوساط الخليجية والعالمية اليوم (الجمعة).
في الساعات الأولى من الصباح، تحول أحد أرقى أحياء العاصمة البريطانية من ملاذ آمن للمتنزهين والسياح إلى مسرح لجريمة غادرة، حيث تعرض السائح الخليجي لهجوم مباغت بسلاح أبيض من قِبل عصابة، حيث سددوا له طعنات نافذة بهدف سرقة مقتنياته الثمينة وساعته الفاخرة، قبل أن يلوذوا بالفرار تاركين الضحية يصارع الموت.
وأثارت الحادثة حالة من الرعب والصدمة بين سكان الحي الراقي والسياح المتواجدين في المنطقة، وضجت منصات التواصل الاجتماعي بآلاف التغريدات التي تنعى الفقيد وتطالب بمحاسبة الجناة وتوفير حماية أكبر للسياح.
من جانبها، فرضت شرطة العاصمة البريطانية (متروبوليتان) طوقًا أمنيًا مشددًا حول موقع الجريمة، وبدأت تحقيقات مكثفة تشمل:
- تفريغ كاميرات المراقبة المحيطة بموقع الحادث لتحديد هوية الجناة وتتبع مسار هروبهم.
- استجواب شهود العيان الذين تواجدوا في المنطقة لحظة وقوع الاعتداء.

The incident sparked a state of fear and shock among the residents of the upscale neighborhood and the tourists present in the area, and social media platforms were flooded with thousands of tweets mourning the deceased and calling for the perpetrators to be held accountable and for greater protection for tourists.
For its part, the Metropolitan Police of the British capital imposed a strict security cordon around the crime scene and began intensive investigations that include:
