في جريمة هزّت العاصمة المكسيكية وأثارت صدمة واسعة، تحولت رحلة عائلية إلى مأساة دامية، بعدما فتح مسلحون النار على سيارة تقل الموسيقار المطرب المكسيكي جوناثان ميلينديز وأفراداً من أسرته، ما أسفر عن مقتل 7 أشخاص، بينهم زوجته الحامل وطفلهما الصغير.
وبحسب التقارير الأمنية، وقع الهجوم أثناء سير الأسرة في سيارتها، حين باغتهم مسلحون بوابل من الرصاص، قبل أن يفروا من موقع الحادثة.
وأسفر إطلاق النار عن مقتل ميلينديز وزوجته التي كانت في أشهر حملها الأخيرة، إلى جانب طفلهما الذي لم يتجاوز سنواته الأولى، إضافة إلى مربية الأطفال واثنين من أقارب الأسرة.
وعقب الهجوم، فرضت الشرطة طوقاً أمنياً حول موقع الجريمة، وبدأت إجراءات جمع الأدلة والتحقيق في ملابسات الحادثة، فيما باشرت النيابة العامة تحقيقات موسعة لتحديد هوية منفذي الهجوم والوقوف على دوافعه.
ولم تستبعد السلطات، وفق المعطيات الأولية، احتمال وجود صلة بين الجريمة وأنشطة جماعات الجريمة المنظمة الناشطة في المنطقة، في وقت لا تزال فيه التحقيقات مستمرة لكشف ملابسات الهجوم بشكل كامل.
وأثارت الواقعة حالة من الحزن والاستنكار في الأوساط الفنية والمجتمع المكسيكي، مع تدفق رسائل التعازي والمواساة إلى أسرة الضحايا، وسط مطالبات بسرعة كشف هوية المتورطين وتقديمهم إلى العدالة.
In a crime that shook the Mexican capital and caused widespread shock, a family trip turned into a bloody tragedy when gunmen opened fire on a car carrying Mexican musician Jonathan Melendez and members of his family, resulting in the deaths of 7 people, including his pregnant wife and their young child.
According to security reports, the attack occurred while the family was driving in their car when they were ambushed by gunmen with a hail of bullets, before the assailants fled the scene.
The gunfire resulted in the deaths of Melendez and his wife, who was in the final months of her pregnancy, along with their child who had not yet reached his first birthday, in addition to a nanny and two relatives of the family.
Following the attack, police cordoned off the crime scene and began collecting evidence and investigating the circumstances of the incident, while the public prosecutor's office initiated extensive investigations to identify the perpetrators of the attack and understand its motives.
The authorities did not rule out, based on initial data, the possibility of a connection between the crime and the activities of organized crime groups active in the area, as investigations continue to fully uncover the circumstances of the attack.
The incident has sparked a wave of sadness and condemnation within artistic circles and the Mexican community, with messages of condolences and sympathy pouring in for the victims' families, amid calls for a swift identification of those involved and their prosecution.
