أصدر رئيس دولة الإمارات الشيخ محمد بن زايد آل نهيان، اليوم (الجمعة)، عفواً رئاسياً عن عبدالرحمن يوسف القرضاوي، بعد صدور حكم بحقه بالسجن 10 سنوات وتغريمه 200 ألف درهم، وفقاً لما نقلته وكالة أنباء الإمارات «وام».
وكانت محكمة أبوظبي الاتحادية الاستئنافية، دائرة الجرائم الإلكترونية، قد قضت في 27 أغسطس الماضي بمعاقبة القرضاوي بالسجن لمدة 10 سنوات، إلى جانب تغريمه 200 ألف درهم إماراتي.
من لبنان إلى الإمارات
وتعود قضية عبدالرحمن القرضاوي، نجل الشيخ يوسف القرضاوي، الذي يحمل الجنسيتين المصرية والتركية، إلى أواخر ديسمبر 2024، عندما ألقت السلطات اللبنانية القبض عليه في 28 ديسمبر عقب عودته من دمشق.

وجاء توقيفه على خلفية مذكرات وطلبات قضائية بحقه، قبل أن تسلمه السلطات اللبنانية إلى دولة الإمارات في يناير 2025، استجابة لطلب التوقيف المؤقت الصادر بحقه من الأمانة العامة لمجلس وزراء الداخلية العرب، إدارة الملاحقة والبيانات الجنائية، والمقدم من الجهات الإماراتية المختصة.
وجرى التسليم بعد تقديم السلطة المركزية الإماراتية، ممثلة في وزارة العدل، طلباً رسمياً إلى نظيرتها في لبنان، وفق مبدأ المعاملة بالمثل والقوانين والتشريعات الوطنية.

وكان القرضاوي قد نشر، عقب زيارته دمشق، مقطعاً مصوراً عبر مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي تضمن انتقادات للسلطات في الإمارات ومصر، وتحدث فيه عن تحديات ومؤامرات قال إنها تواجه الإدارة السورية الجديدة.
وفي أعقاب انتشار المقطع، تقدمت الإمارات رسمياً إلى السلطات اللبنانية بطلب لاسترداده، فيما كانت مصر قد طلبت تسليمه أيضاً على خلفية حكم غيابي صادر بحقه بالسجن خمس سنوات بتهم تتعلق بـ«نشر أخبار كاذبة والتحريض على العنف».
اتهامات بـ«إثارة وتكدير الأمن العام»
وعقب تسليمه إلى أبوظبي، أفادت السلطات الإماراتية بأن الإجراءات جاءت على خلفية اتهامات للقرضاوي بارتكاب أعمال من شأنها «إثارة وتكدير الأمن العام»، مؤكدة موقفها الرافض لأي أعمال تستهدف أمن الدولة واستقرارها.
وظل القرضاوي قيد الإجراءات القضائية في الإمارات حتى أصدرت محكمة أبوظبي الاتحادية الاستئنافية حكمها بحقه في 27 أغسطس، قبل أن يصدر الشيخ محمد بن زايد، اليوم، عفواً رئاسياً عنه.
The President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, issued a presidential pardon today (Friday) for Abdulrahman Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, following a ruling sentencing him to 10 years in prison and a fine of 200,000 dirhams, according to the Emirates News Agency "WAM".
The Abu Dhabi Federal Appeals Court, Cyber Crimes Division, had sentenced Al-Qaradawi on August 27 to 10 years in prison, along with a fine of 200,000 Emirati dirhams.
From Lebanon to the UAE
The case of Abdulrahman Al-Qaradawi, the son of Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, who holds both Egyptian and Turkish nationalities, dates back to late December 2024, when Lebanese authorities arrested him on December 28 after his return from Damascus.

His arrest was based on judicial warrants and requests against him, before Lebanese authorities handed him over to the UAE in January 2025, in response to a request for temporary detention issued by the General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers, Criminal Pursuit and Data Management Department, submitted by the relevant Emirati authorities.
The handover occurred after the Emirati central authority, represented by the Ministry of Justice, submitted an official request to its Lebanese counterpart, in accordance with the principle of reciprocity and national laws and regulations.
A Video That Ignited the Case
Al-Qaradawi had published a video on social media following his visit to Damascus, which included criticisms of the authorities in the UAE and Egypt, and he spoke about challenges and conspiracies he claimed were facing the new Syrian administration.
Following the video's dissemination, the UAE officially requested his extradition from the Lebanese authorities, while Egypt also requested his handover based on a in absentia ruling sentencing him to five years in prison on charges related to "spreading false news and inciting violence".
Charges of "Disturbing Public Security"
After his handover to Abu Dhabi, Emirati authorities stated that the actions were based on accusations against Al-Qaradawi of committing acts that would "disturb public security," affirming their stance against any actions targeting the state's security and stability.
Al-Qaradawi remained under judicial procedures in the UAE until the Abu Dhabi Federal Appeals Court issued its ruling against him on August 27, before Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed issued a presidential pardon for him today.
