تحولت عملية هروب سجين صربي من أحد السجون الألمانية إلى واقعة أثارت تساؤلات حول الإجراءات الأمنية داخل المنشأة، بعدما تمكن رجل يبلغ من العمر 35 عاماً من الخروج من زنزانته في مجمع سجن «دويسبورغ هامبورن» بولاية شمال الراين - ويستفاليا، قبل أن يختفي من محيط السجن.
ووقعت عملية الفرار نحو الساعة 3:20 فجراً يوم 30 أغسطس، قبل أن تكتشف السلطات اختفاء السجين وتطلق عملية بحث عنه.
كيف تمكن السجين من الهروب؟
تشير التحقيقات الأولية إلى أن السجين كان محتجزاً في زنزانة بالطابق الثالث، وتمكن من إحداث فتحة في نافذة تطل على الفناء الداخلي.
وبحسب المعلومات المتاحة، قطع أحد القضبان الحديدية للنافذة، ثم استخدم طاولة داخل الزنزانة كرافعة لإزاحة شبكة معدنية دقيقة كانت تغطي الفتحة، ليتمكن بعدها من الخروج.
وتشير التحقيقات إلى أن السجين واصل فراره عبر تسلق واجهة المبنى من الجهة الداخلية، وصولاً إلى سطح السجن، قبل أن ينزل من الجهة الخارجية للمنشأة، فيما لا تزال الطريقة التي غادر بها محيط السجن قيد التحقيق.
وشم على الذراع
نشرت الشرطة الألمانية صورة حديثة للسجين الهارب، مطالبة المواطنين بعدم الاقتراب منه وإبلاغ السلطات فور مشاهدته أو الحصول على معلومات قد تساعد في تحديد مكانه.
ووفقاً لأوصاف الشرطة، يبلغ طوله نحو 1.75 متر، ويزن قرابة 75 كيلوغراماً، ويتمتع ببنية نحيلة وجبهة مرتفعة، وكان لديه شعر بني قصير وقت فراره.
ومن أبرز العلامات المميزة له وشم على الجزء العلوي من ذراعه اليمنى، يظهر على هيئة وجه امرأة، فيما تشتبه السلطات في إمكانية لجوئه إلى استخدام هويات مزيفة.
مخبأ أسفل أرضية الزنزانة
وخلال تفتيش زنزانة السجين بعد اكتشاف فراره، عثرت السلطات على مخبأ مخفي أسفل أرضية الزنزانة، تحت طبقة من مشمع الأرضيات.
وتعتقد السلطات أن المخبأ ربما استُخدم لإخفاء أدوات مرتبطة بعملية الهروب، إلا أنها لم تعثر حتى الآن على الأداة التي استُخدمت لقطع قضبان النافذة.
وأثار العثور على المخبأ تساؤلات بشأن كيفية تمكن السجين من الاحتفاظ بأدوات داخل الزنزانة دون اكتشافها خلال عمليات التفتيش السابقة.
سجين محكوم في قضايا سطو
وكان الرجل محتجزاً منذ فبراير 2026 للاشتباه في تورطه بعمليتَي سطو مشدد على شقق سكنية.
وفي مايو الماضي، صدر بحقه حكم بالسجن لمدة 6 سنوات على خلفية القضيتين، بعدما أُدين بسرقة مجوهرات ومبالغ نقدية تزيد قيمتها على 200 ألف يورو، إلا أن الحكم لم يكن نهائياً وقت فراره.
تحقيق في الإجراءات الأمنية
وتواصل الشرطة الألمانية البحث عن السجين، بالتزامن مع تحقيقات تستهدف تحديد الطريقة التي تمكن بها من مغادرة محيط السجن بعد وصوله إلى السطح.
كما فتحت وزارة العدل في ولاية شمال الراين - ويستفاليا تحقيقاً في أوجه القصور الأمنية المحتملة، مع التركيز على كيفية وصول أدوات قادرة على قطع القضبان إلى الزنزانة، وسبب عدم اكتشاف المخبأ الموجود أسفل الأرضية خلال عمليات التفتيش السابقة.
وتحاول السلطات من خلال التحقيق تحديد ما إذا كانت هناك ثغرات أمنية ساعدت السجين على تنفيذ عملية الفرار، في وقت تتواصل عمليات البحث عنه.
The escape of a Serbian prisoner from a German prison has raised questions about security measures within the facility, after a 35-year-old man managed to leave his cell in the "Duisburg Hamborn" prison complex in North Rhine-Westphalia, before disappearing from the vicinity of the prison.
The escape occurred around 3:20 AM on August 30, before authorities discovered the inmate's disappearance and launched a search operation.
How did the prisoner manage to escape?
Initial investigations suggest that the prisoner was held in a cell on the third floor and managed to create an opening in a window overlooking the inner courtyard.
According to available information, he cut one of the iron bars of the window and then used a table inside the cell as a lever to remove a fine metal mesh covering the opening, allowing him to exit.
Investigations indicate that the prisoner continued his escape by climbing the building's facade from the inside, reaching the roof of the prison, before descending from the exterior of the facility, while the method he used to leave the vicinity of the prison is still under investigation.
A tattoo on the arm
The German police released a recent photo of the escaped prisoner, urging citizens not to approach him and to inform authorities immediately upon sighting him or obtaining information that could help locate him.
According to police descriptions, he is approximately 1.75 meters tall, weighs around 75 kilograms, has a slim build and a high forehead, and had short brown hair at the time of his escape.
One of his most distinctive features is a tattoo on the upper part of his right arm, depicting the face of a woman, while authorities suspect he may resort to using fake identities.
A hideout beneath the cell floor
During the search of the prisoner's cell after his escape was discovered, authorities found a hidden stash beneath the cell floor, under a layer of linoleum.
Authorities believe that the stash may have been used to conceal tools related to the escape, but they have not yet found the tool used to cut the window bars.
The discovery of the stash raised questions about how the prisoner was able to keep tools inside the cell without them being detected during previous searches.
A prisoner convicted of robbery
The man had been detained since February 2026 on suspicion of involvement in two aggravated robberies of residential apartments.
In May, he was sentenced to six years in prison in connection with the two cases, after being convicted of stealing jewelry and cash worth over 200,000 euros, but the sentence was not final at the time of his escape.
An investigation into security procedures
The German police continue to search for the prisoner, alongside investigations aimed at determining how he managed to leave the vicinity of the prison after reaching the roof.
The Ministry of Justice in North Rhine-Westphalia has also opened an investigation into potential security shortcomings, focusing on how tools capable of cutting bars reached the cell and why the stash beneath the floor was not discovered during previous searches.
Authorities are trying to determine through the investigation whether there were security loopholes that aided the prisoner in executing the escape, while search operations for him continue.
