In a strategic move that could reshape the global technology landscape, the Saudi Public Investment Fund, through its specialized arm "HUMAIN," is preparing to launch a massive global venture capital fund that may exceed $10 billion this year, aimed at enhancing the Kingdom's technological influence and transforming it into the leading capital of artificial intelligence.
The details of the decision were unveiled by the company's CEO, Tarek Amin, who confirmed that the remarkable success of the company's previous $3 billion investment in Elon Musk's "xAI" has sparked a desire for comprehensive expansion, with the new fund set to have international offices in Saudi Arabia, the United States, France, and the United Kingdom to seize major digital opportunities.
However, the Saudi fund has set a fundamental condition for financing the new giants: "the commitment to channel a portion of computing operations and relocate employees to Saudi Arabia," benefiting from the vast infrastructure that includes data centers with a capacity of 6 gigawatts, in addition to superior security protection based on the expertise of "Aramco" and computing costs that are 30% lower than global markets.
This billion-dollar move, accompanied by partnerships with tech giants such as "NVIDIA," "Microsoft," and "Blackstone," also relies on the launch of the "HUMAIN Limitless" initiative to support local startups, confirming that the Kingdom is no longer just a financial investor but a strategic partner with the resources and energy to lead the upcoming digital revolution.
