فرضت السلطات الاتحادية الأمريكية غرامة مالية قدرها 65 ألف دولار على موظف سابق في البيت الأبيض، وألزمته بالتنازل عن أرباح تتجاوز 100 ألف دولار، إثر إدانته باستغلال معلومات داخلية لتحقيق مكاسب مالية عبر أسواق التنبؤات.
وكان جابرييل بيريز، المسؤول عن تشغيل جهاز الملقن الإلكتروني، قد استغل وصوله المبكر إلى نصوص خطابات الرئيس دونالد ترمب، ليقوم بين ديسمبر 2025 وفبراير 2026 بالمراهنة على عبارات وكلمات محددة وردت فيها عبر منصة «كالشي»، جابياً أرباحاً غير مشروعة بلغت 107,500 دولار.
وأعلنت لجنة تداول السلع الآجلة تسوية قضائية تتضمن منع بيريز من التداول لمدة ثلاث سنوات، وذلك بعد إيقافه سابقاً عن العمل ووضعه في إجازة غير مدفوعة عقب تفجر الفضيحة. ولم يصدر تعليق فوري من البيت الأبيض بشأن تفاصيل التسوية، في حين أشار مسؤولون في وقت سابق إلى أن بيريز لم يعد على رأس عمله.
وأكدت لجنة تداول السلع الآجلة في بيان رسمي أن بيريز استغل موقعه الحساس وما يتمتع به من أمانة ووظيفة تتطلب الثقة للاطلاع على الخطب الرئاسية قبل إلقائها، معتبرة ما قام به انتهاكاً مباشراً لواجباته الوظيفية.

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission announced a settlement that includes a three-year trading ban for Perez, following his prior suspension from work and placement on unpaid leave after the scandal broke. The White House did not immediately comment on the details of the settlement, while officials had previously indicated that Perez was no longer in his position.
