أعلنت منصة التواصل الاجتماعي «بلوسكاي» (Bluesky) زيادة الحد الأقصى لطول مقاطع الفيديو المسموح بنشرها إلى 10 دقائق، في خطوة إستراتيجية تستهدف تعزيز المحتوى المرئي واستقطاب صناع المحتوى في مواجهة المنصات المنافسة.
وشملت التحديثات الجديدة حزمة من التسهيلات التقنية لرفع كفاءة تجربة المستخدم على المنصة:
- زيادة المدة وحجم الملفات: رفع الحد الأقصى لزمن الفيديو من 3 دقائق إلى 10 دقائق، مع إمكانية رفع ملفات ضخمة تصل إلى 300 ميغابايت.
- سرعة المعالجة: تسريع عمليات رفع الفيديوهات بمعدل يتراوح بين مرتين إلى 3 مرات مقارنة بالسابق.
- دعم منظومة (AT Protocol): إتاحة الميزة الجديدة لكافة التطبيقات المستندة إلى البرتوكول نفسه مثل «Bluescreen» و«Reelo» و«Skylight».
ويتطابق الحد الزمني الجديد لـ«بلوسكاي» مع المدة المتاحة على تطبيق «تيك توك» للتسجيل المباشر، بينما يتفوق على منصة «ثريدز» المملوكة لشركة «ميتا» والتي تتيح مقاطع حتى 5 دقائق فقط. وفي المقابل، تكتفي منصة «إكس» بـ140 ثانية للحسابات المجانية، بينما تمنح للمشتركين المدفوعين رفع فيديوهات تمتد لعدة ساعات.
وتأتي هذه الخطوة من «بلوسكاي» كسعي حثيث لإنعاش قاعدة مستخدميها النشطين وتنشيط التفاعل، عقب تقارير كشفت عن تراجع حركة المرور على المنصة بنسبة تجاوزت 25% على أساس سنوي.
The social media platform "Bluesky" has announced an increase in the maximum length of videos allowed for posting to 10 minutes, in a strategic move aimed at enhancing visual content and attracting content creators in the face of competing platforms.
The new updates include a package of technical facilities to improve the user experience on the platform:
- Increased duration and file size: The maximum video length has been raised from 3 minutes to 10 minutes, with the ability to upload large files up to 300 megabytes.
- Processing speed: Video upload processes have been accelerated by a factor of two to three times compared to before.
- Support for the (AT Protocol) system: The new feature is available to all applications based on the same protocol, such as "Bluescreen," "Reelo," and "Skylight."
The new time limit for "Bluesky" matches the duration available on the "TikTok" app for live recording, while surpassing the "Threads" platform owned by "Meta," which allows clips of only up to 5 minutes. In contrast, the "X" platform limits free accounts to 140 seconds, while offering paid subscribers the ability to upload videos lasting several hours.
This move by "Bluesky" comes as a concerted effort to revive its active user base and stimulate interaction, following reports that revealed a decline in traffic on the platform by more than 25% year-on-year.
