اختطف مسلحون عشرات المصلين من داخل مسجد في قرية كيبينيا بولاية النيجر النيجيرية، خلال صلاة الجمعة، في هجوم شمل قرى عدة بالمنطقة.
وأعلنت الشرطة النيجيرية أن مسلحين هاجموا المسجد أثناء صلاة الجمعة، ضمن سلسلة هجمات متزامنة استهدفت عدداً من القرى في منطقة بورجو النائية، قبل أن يتدخل الجيش لتمشيط المنطقة والبحث عن المختطفين والناجين.
وقال المتحدث باسم شرطة ولاية النيجر واسيو أبيودون، إن المهاجمين اقتحموا المنطقة وشنوا هجمات متفرقة، مؤكداً عدم تسجيل وفيات جراء هجمات الجمعة، فيما لم تحدد السلطات رسمياً العدد النهائي للأشخاص الذين اقتيدوا من المسجد.
لكن روايات محلية تحدثت عن اختطاف عشرات المصلين، مع تقديرات راوحت بين 60 و80 شخصاً، فيما أكد رئيس مجلس منطقة بورجو، عبدالله محمد ناصر، اختطاف 60 شخصاً على الأقل.
وأضاف ناصر أن المسلحين أحاطوا بالمسجد أثناء أداء صلاة الجمعة، قبل أن يقتادوا المصلين بعيداً، مشيراً إلى إصابة عدد من الأشخاص بالرصاص أثناء محاولتهم الفرار من المنطقة.
وقال زبير عمر طلبة، أحد القيادات الشبابية في منطقة ديكارا التابعة لبورجو، إن والده المسن كان من بين المختطفين، موضحاً أن تحديد العدد الدقيق للضحايا لا يزال صعباً بسبب فرار أعداد كبيرة من السكان من القرى المستهدفة.
وأرسلت السلطات قوات من الجيش إلى المنطقة لملاحقة المسلحين وتفقد القرى التي تعرضت للهجمات، بينما تتواصل عمليات البحث عن المختطفين والناجين، وسط مخاوف من اتساع نطاق الهجمات.
وتشهد مناطق عدة في نيجيريا تصاعداً في نشاط جماعات مسلحة تنفذ عمليات قتل واختطاف بهدف الحصول على فدى مالية، إلى جانب صراعات بين مجموعات مسلحة متنافسة على النفوذ والموارد.
ولم تعلن أي جماعة مسلحة مسؤوليتها عن الهجمات التي وقعت الجمعة حتى الآن، كما لم تكشف السلطات عن هوية منفذيها أو العدد النهائي للمختطفين.
وتعد عمليات الاختطاف الجماعي مقابل الفدى من أبرز التحديات الأمنية التي تواجه نيجيريا، خصوصاً في المناطق الريفية والنائية، إذ تستغل الجماعات المسلحة اتساع المساحات وضعف الحضور الأمني لتنفيذ هجماتها ثم الانسحاب إلى مناطق يصعب الوصول إليها.

Nigerian police announced that gunmen attacked the mosque during Friday prayers, as part of a series of coordinated attacks targeting several villages in the remote Bourgu area, before the army intervened to comb the area and search for the kidnapped and survivors.
The spokesperson for the Niger State Police, Wasiu Abiodun, stated that the attackers stormed the area and launched sporadic attacks, confirming that no fatalities were reported due to the Friday attacks, while the authorities have not officially determined the final number of people taken from the mosque.
However, local accounts spoke of the kidnapping of dozens of worshippers, with estimates ranging between 60 and 80 people, while the head of the Bourgu area council, Abdallah Mohammed Nasser, confirmed the kidnapping of at least 60 individuals.
Nasser added that the gunmen surrounded the mosque during Friday prayers before leading the worshippers away, noting that several people were shot while trying to flee the area.
Azubair Omar Talabta, a youth leader in the Dikara area of Bourgu, stated that his elderly father was among the kidnapped, explaining that determining the exact number of victims remains difficult due to a large number of residents fleeing the targeted villages.
The authorities have sent military forces to the area to pursue the gunmen and inspect the villages that were attacked, while search operations for the kidnapped and survivors continue, amid fears of an escalation in the attacks.
Several areas in Nigeria are witnessing a rise in the activity of armed groups carrying out killings and kidnappings for ransom, alongside conflicts between rival armed groups over influence and resources.
No armed group has claimed responsibility for the attacks that occurred on Friday so far, nor have the authorities revealed the identities of the perpetrators or the final number of the kidnapped.
Mass kidnappings for ransom are among the most significant security challenges facing Nigeria, especially in rural and remote areas, as armed groups exploit vast spaces and weak security presence to carry out their attacks and then withdraw to hard-to-reach areas.
