من الممكن أن يتسبب خدش صغير في كارثة لسيارتك، سواء بسبب حصاة تطايرت على الطريق السريع أو حكة بسيطة أثناء الركن، فتبدو أجزاء الطلاء المتقشرة مجرد تشوه بصري عابر للوهلة الأولى. لكن التجاهل هو العدو الأول لسيارتك، إذ يُعرّي المعدن مباشرة أمام الرطوبة والعوامل الجوية، ليتحول الخدش السطحي خلال أسابيع إلى بؤرة صدأ نخرة تأكل قيمة السيارة وتضاعف تكلفة إصلاحها.
خطوات حماية الطلاء ومعالجة الخدوش
قبل اتخاذ أي قرار، نظّف المنطقة برفق بالماء وصابون السيارات بقطعة من الميكروفايبر لكشف حقيقة الخدش. إذا وجدته سطحياً فقط، يكفيك التلميع (بوليش). أما إن تكشف المعدن، فاتبع خطوات الإنقاذ الحذرة:
- طابق كود اللون بدقة: لا تخمن اللون أبداً! استخرج كود الطلاء من الملصق الموجود داخل باب السائق أو تحت غطاء المحرك، واشترِ قلم طلاء مخصص للخدوش الصغيرة أو بخاخاً للمساحات الأكبر.
- اقضِ على الصدأ مبكراً: إن بدأ الصدأ السطحي بالظهور، حكّه ونظّفه جيداً قبل الدهان.
- طبقة الأساس والطلاء التدريجي: ضع طبقة أساس (Primer) واتركها تجف تماماً، ثم ادهن طلاءك على طبقات خفيفة متتالية دون استعجال لمنع الفقاعات، وأنهِ العمل بطبقة التلميع الشفافة.
لكن تجنب محاولات الإصلاح الذاتي إذا كانت المساحة المتضررة واسعة، أو في مكان بارز وسط هيكل السيارة يصعب دمج ألوانه، أو إن ظهرت مؤشرات على تآكل المعدن والصدأ الغائر. فالاستثمار في إصلاح احترافي مبكر يظل أرخص بكثير من معالجة الصدأ المستفحل بعد فوات الأوان.

- Match the color code accurately: Never guess the color! Retrieve the paint code from the label inside the driver’s door or under the hood, and buy a touch-up paint pen for small scratches or spray for larger areas.
- Eliminate rust early: If surface rust begins to appear, scrub and clean it thoroughly before painting.
- Primer and gradual painting: Apply a primer coat and let it dry completely, then paint your color in light, successive layers without rushing to prevent bubbles, finishing with a clear polish coat.
However, avoid DIY repair attempts if the damaged area is large, or in a prominent location on the car's body where blending colors is difficult, or if there are signs of metal corrosion and deep rust. Investing in early professional repair remains much cheaper than dealing with extensive rust later on.
