أعلن قصر الإليزيه أن الرئيس الفرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون سيستقبل ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان، يومي الأحد 23 والإثنين 24 أغسطس، في زيارة رسمية إلى فرنسا، تتصدر ملفاتها تطورات الأوضاع في الشرق الأوسط والقضايا الإقليمية، إلى جانب تعزيز الشراكة الإستراتيجية والاقتصادية بين الرياض وباريس.
وأوضح الإليزيه، في بيان اليوم (الخميس)، أن المباحثات ستشهد تبادلاً للآراء بشأن أبرز الأزمات والتحديات التي تشهدها المنطقة، في ظل استمرار حالة عدم الاستقرار في الشرق الأوسط، وفي مقدمتها التطورات المرتبطة بإيران واليمن ولبنان.
ملفات المنطقة على طاولة المباحثات
ومن المقرر أن يبحث ولي العهد والرئيس الفرنسي عدداً من القضايا الإقليمية والدولية، في إطار التنسيق المستمر بين المملكة وفرنسا تجاه الملفات ذات الاهتمام المشترك، وما تشهده المنطقة من تطورات متسارعة.
وأكد الإليزيه أن اللقاءات ستتناول كذلك «القضايا الاقتصادية والإستراتيجية الكبرى» التي تشكل ركائز الشراكة بين البلدين، في ظل ما يجمع الرياض وباريس من تعاون في قطاعات عدة، بينها التعاون العسكري والاقتصادي ومجالا الطاقة والطيران.
الرياضة والثقافة.. جسور للتقارب
وتبدأ زيارة ولي العهد يوم الأحد بحضور الحفل الختامي لكأس العالم للرياضات الإلكترونية (Esports World Cup)، وهي بطولة ألعاب فيديو «ذات نطاق عالمي» تُنظم «للمرة الأولى خارج المملكة العربية السعودية»، وتجسد «الطموح المشترك بين فرنسا والمملكة العربية السعودية لجعل الرياضة والثقافة من أدوات التقارب بينهما»، بحسب بيان للرئاسة الفرنسية.
مجلس الشراكة الإستراتيجية
وتكتسب الزيارة أهمية إضافية مع اعتزام الزعيمين عقد اجتماع لمجلس الشراكة الإستراتيجية السعودي الفرنسي، في خطوة تستهدف دفع العلاقات الثنائية إلى آفاق أوسع وتعزيز التعاون بين البلدين في الملفات ذات الأولوية.
وكان الرئيس الفرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون قد زار المملكة في ديسمبر 2024، فيما تسعى الرياض وباريس إلى البناء على ما تحقق خلال الفترة الماضية وتعزيز مسارات التعاون السياسي والاقتصادي والإستراتيجي.
The Élysée Palace announced that French President Emmanuel Macron will receive Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman on Sunday, August 23, and Monday, August 24, for an official visit to France, with key topics including developments in the Middle East and regional issues, alongside enhancing the strategic and economic partnership between Riyadh and Paris.
The Élysée clarified in a statement today (Thursday) that the discussions will involve an exchange of views on the most significant crises and challenges facing the region, amid the ongoing instability in the Middle East, primarily concerning developments related to Iran, Yemen, and Lebanon.
Regional Issues on the Agenda
The Crown Prince and the French President are expected to discuss a number of regional and international issues as part of the ongoing coordination between the Kingdom and France regarding matters of mutual interest, in light of the rapid developments in the region.
The Élysée emphasized that the meetings will also address "major economic and strategic issues" that form the foundations of the partnership between the two countries, given the cooperation between Riyadh and Paris in several sectors, including military and economic cooperation, as well as in energy and aviation.
Sports and Culture: Bridges for Closer Ties
The Crown Prince's visit will begin on Sunday with attendance at the closing ceremony of the Esports World Cup, a "globally scoped" video game championship organized "for the first time outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia," embodying "the shared ambition between France and Saudi Arabia to make sports and culture tools for closer ties," according to a statement from the French presidency.
Strategic Partnership Council
The visit gains additional significance with the leaders' intention to hold a meeting of the Saudi-French Strategic Partnership Council, in a move aimed at elevating bilateral relations to broader horizons and enhancing cooperation between the two countries on priority issues.
French President Emmanuel Macron had visited the Kingdom in December 2024, while Riyadh and Paris seek to build on what has been achieved in the past period and strengthen paths of political, economic, and strategic cooperation.
