في عملية أمنية خاطفة، نجح رجال الجمارك في صالة «T4» بمطار الكويت الدولي في إسقاط مخطط شيطاني أعده أكثر من مسافر من الجنسية الهندية، ظنوا أنهم ابتكروا حيلة معقدة لتجاوز أجهزة التفتيش وتهريب كمية من الذهب الخالص عيار 24 نحو مدينة أحمد آباد.
لكن «اليقظة الأمنية» للجمارك الكويتية كانت بالمرصاد، ليتحول مخطط التهريب الذكي إلى جريمة مكشوفة ومحاضر ضبط قضائية في لحظات.
ذهب خالص في أزياء عادية
بدأت الدراما أثناء خضوع المسافرين لإجراءات المغادرة، حيث أثارت تحركات مسافرين هنديين ارتياب المفتشين، ليتبين عقب التفتيش الدقيق أن الراكبين حوّلا أجزاء من ملابسهما الشخصية إلى مناجم ذهب مموهة:
- الراكب الأول: نجح في صب 353 غراماً من الذهب عيار 24 الصافي على شكل «إبزيم حزام»، وطلاء الذهب باللون الأسود الداكن ليبدو كحزام عادي للغاية.
- الراكب الثاني: سار على الخطى ذاتها بتحويل 340 غراماً إلى إبزيم حزام أسود، بينما قام بطلاء 162 غراماً أخرى بمادة فضية مضللة وشكّلها على هيئة سوار لإخفاء لمعان الذهب.
إلا أن إجمالي المضبوطات التي بلغت 855 غراماً من أصفى أنواع الذهب لم تشفع لأصحابها أمام الفحص التخصصي، لتعلن الإدارة العامة للجمارك في الكويت تحرير محضري ضبط رسميين.
وأحيل المتهمان والمضبوطات فوراً إلى النيابة العامة وجهاز الاختصاص لتنفيذ الإجراءات القانونية الصارمة بحقهما، مؤكدة أن أجهزة المطار في الكويت تقف بالمرصاد لجميع أساليب التمويه الحديثة.
In a swift security operation, customs officials at the "T4" terminal of Kuwait International Airport successfully thwarted a diabolical scheme devised by several travelers of Indian nationality, who thought they had come up with a complicated trick to bypass inspection devices and smuggle a quantity of pure 24-carat gold to the city of Ahmedabad.
However, the "security vigilance" of the Kuwaiti customs was on high alert, turning the clever smuggling plan into an exposed crime and official seizure reports in moments.
Pure Gold in Ordinary Attire
The drama began as travelers underwent departure procedures, where the movements of two Indian travelers raised the inspectors' suspicions. Upon thorough inspection, it became clear that the passengers had transformed parts of their personal clothing into camouflaged gold mines:
- The first passenger managed to cast 353 grams of pure 24-carat gold into the shape of a "belt buckle," painting the gold in a dark black color to make it look like an entirely ordinary belt.
- The second passenger followed suit by converting 340 grams into a black belt buckle, while he coated another 162 grams with a misleading silver substance and shaped it into a bracelet to hide the shine of the gold.
However, the total confiscation of 855 grams of the purest gold did not spare its owners from specialized examination, leading the General Administration of Customs in Kuwait to announce the issuance of two official seizure reports.
The suspects and the confiscated items were immediately referred to the Public Prosecution and the relevant authority to implement strict legal procedures against them, affirming that the airport authorities in Kuwait remain vigilant against all modern camouflage methods.
