في ليلة لم تكن كغيرها، وتحت أضواء شمال العاصمة السعودية، اشتعلت مدرجات مزاد الرياض لمزارع إنتاج الصقور بمنافسة حابسة للأنفاس، حيث ارتفعت أصوات المزايدين واشتدت حدة الصراع حتى حُسمت إحدى أضخم الصفقات في تاريخ هذا الإرث الأصيل.
الحدث الأبرز لم يكن مجرد بيع طائر، بل كان استثماراً في الندرة والفخامة، بعدما خطف صقر فريد من نوع «مثلوث جير» الأضواء، متجاوزاً كل التوقعات ليدخل التاريخ من أوسع أبوابه. انتهت الصفقة عند رقم حبس أنفاس الحاضرين: 1.3 مليون ريال سعودي (نحو 346 ألف دولار أمريكي)، ليتربع رسمياً على عرش أغلى صقر يُباع في عام 2026، وحاملاً لقب ثاني أغلى صقر في سجلات المزاد التاريخية.
الليلة السابعة من المزاد، الذي ينظمه المركز الوطني للصقور في «ملهم»، كانت بمثابة مأدبة دسمة لكبار الصقارين حول العالم. وجذبت المزرعة الكندية العارضة الأبصار فور الكشف عن طيورها النادرة، إذ بدأت المنافسة ببيع فرخ «جير بيور» بمبلغ 150 ألف ريال بعدما انطلقت المزايدة من 40 ألفاً فقط.
لكن المأدبة الحقيقية كانت مع دخول الفارس الثاني: فرخ «مثلوث جير». حينها لم تنتظر المزايدات كثيراً، بل قفزت فوراً من نقطة الصفر عند 200 ألف ريال لتتحول القاعة إلى ساحة صراع مالي محموم بين كبار المقتنين، لتستقر المطرقة في النهاية على السعر المليوني التاريخي.
الطيور النادرة لا تُقدر بثمن
عقب إغلاق المزاد، علّق شديد الرشيدي ممثل شركة «نوفا فالكون» التي نجحت في اقتناء هذا الصقر، بكلمات اختصرت المشهد في فيديو بثه المركز: «هذا الطائر نادر جداً، والطيور النادرة ببساطة لا يمكن وضع سعر محدد لها.. إنها قيمة لا تُقدر بثمن».
ورغم هذا الرقم المهول، يظل الرقم القياسي المطلق مسجلاً باسم صقر «مثلوث جير بيور فرخ ألترا وايت»، الذي انتزع عرش الأغلى في سنوات سابقة بسعر خيالي بلغ 1.75 مليون ريال، بينما يتفوق صقر هذا العام على حامل لقب السنة الماضية الذي بيع بـ1.2 مليون ريال لصالح مزرعة أمريكية.
هذا المهرجان التراثي والتجاري الاستثنائي لا يزال يفتح أبوابه حتى 25 أغسطس الجاري، مكرساً موقع الرياض كقبلة عالمية تجمع بين صفقات الملايين والاحتفاء بأسطورة الصقارة التي لا تموت.

The deal concluded at a figure that left the attendees breathless: 1.3 million Saudi Riyals (approximately 346,000 US dollars), officially crowning it as the most expensive falcon sold in 2026, and holding the title of the second most expensive falcon in the historical auction records.
The seventh night of the auction, organized by the National Center for Falconry in "Milehm," served as a lavish feast for top falconers from around the world. The Canadian farm immediately drew attention upon revealing its rare birds, as the competition began with the sale of a "Pure Gyr" chick for 150,000 Riyals after bidding started from just 40,000.
But the real feast came with the entry of the second contender: a "Mthaloth Gyr" chick. At that moment, bidding did not take long to escalate, jumping immediately from the starting point of 200,000 Riyals, turning the hall into a heated financial battleground among top collectors, ultimately settling the hammer on the historic two-million price.
Rare Birds Are Priceless
After the auction closed, Shaheed Al-Rasheedi, a representative of "Nova Falcon" which successfully acquired this falcon, commented with words that encapsulated the scene in a video broadcast by the center: "This bird is very rare, and rare birds simply cannot have a fixed price... They are invaluable."
Despite this staggering figure, the absolute record still belongs to the "Mthaloth Gyr Pure Ultra White" falcon, which claimed the title of the most expensive in previous years with a staggering price of 1.75 million Riyals, while this year's falcon surpasses last year's titleholder, which sold for 1.2 million Riyals to an American farm.
This exceptional heritage and commercial festival remains open until August 25, solidifying Riyadh's position as a global hub that combines million-dollar deals with the celebration of the timeless legend of falconry.
