تحولت 14 عاماً من الثقة داخل منزل وزير مصري سابق إلى واقعة سرقة صادمة، بعدما كشفت التحريات الأمنية اتهام خادمة بالاستيلاء تدريجياً على مشغولات ذهبية ومقتنيات ثمينة من المنزل، بينها «قلادة النيل» وعدد من الميداليات والأوسمة، قبل بيع بعضها وصهر المشغولات الذهبية لإخفاء معالمها.
5 ملايين جنيه
بدأت تفاصيل الواقعة عقب تلقي الأجهزة الأمنية المصرية بلاغاً من أسرة وزير التموين والتضامن الاجتماعي السابق أستاذ الاقتصاد بجامعة القاهرة الدكتور جودة عبدالخالق، بشأن اختفاء عدد من المشغولات الذهبية والمقتنيات من داخل المنزل.
ووفق تصريحات عبدالخالق الصحفية، قادت التحريات إلى الاشتباه في خادمة كانت تعمل لدى الأسرة منذ نحو 14 عاماً، بعدما تبين استيلاؤها على مقتنيات ثمينة على فترات متباعدة، مستغلة وجودها المستمر داخل المنزل.
السرقة على فترات
وأوضح الوزير السابق أن اختفاء المقتنيات لم يُكتشف منذ البداية، لافتاً إلى أن ظروفه الصحية وظروف زوجته ساعدت -بحسب روايته- في تأخر ملاحظة اختفاء بعض الممتلكات.
وشملت المسروقات -وفق تصريحاته- مشغولات ذهبية تخص زوجته، بينها خاتم من الماس، إلى جانب مبالغ مالية ومقتنيات وأوسمة، فيما قُدرت القيمة الإجمالية للمسروقات بنحو 5 ملايين جنيه مصري.
«قلادة النيل»
وكان اختفاء «قلادة النيل» أبرز مفاجآت الواقعة، إذ أكد عبدالخالق أنها كانت ضمن المقتنيات التي اختفت من المنزل، إلى جانب عدد من الميداليات والأوسمة التي حصل عليها خلال مسيرته.
وبحسب المعلومات المتداولة في التحقيقات، لم تحتفظ المتهمة بالمشغولات كما هي، وإنما باعت بعضها لتجار، قبل أن يجري صهر عدد من القطع الذهبية وتغيير شكلها، بما يصعّب التعرف عليها.
ضبط المتهمة
وتمكنت الأجهزة الأمنية من ضبط الخادمة في منطقة البساتين بالقاهرة، فيما كشفت التحقيقات عن أشخاص تعاملت معهم في بيع بعض المقتنيات.
وتواصل الجهات المختصة فحص مسار المسروقات، وتحديد جميع المتورطين المحتملين ومدى علم كل منهم بمصدر تلك المقتنيات، إلى جانب محاولة تحديد مصير باقي المسروقات التي لم يتم استردادها.
وأشارت المعلومات المتاحة إلى أن المتهمة كانت مطلوبة على ذمة قضيتَي سرقة أخريين، وهي معلومات تخضع للتحقق ضمن التحقيقات والإجراءات القانونية.

وعقب اكتشاف الواقعة، تقدمت الأسرة بالبلاغ إلى الأجهزة الأمنية، التي كثفت تحرياتها حتى تمكنت من تحديد هوية المتهمة وضبطها، قبل اتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية وإخطار النيابة العامة لمباشرة التحقيقات.
وقال عبدالخالق في تصريحات صحفية إن الأسرة لم تتأخر طوال سنوات عمل الخادمة في مساعدتها والوقوف إلى جانبها، معرباً عن أسفه لما آلت إليه العلاقة التي امتدت لنحو 14 عاماً.
14 years of trust within the home of a former Egyptian minister turned into a shocking theft incident, after security investigations revealed that a maid was gradually stealing gold jewelry and valuable possessions from the house, including the "Nile Necklace" and several medals and honors, before selling some of them and melting down the gold items to conceal their features.
5 million pounds
The details of the incident began after the Egyptian security authorities received a report from the family of the former Minister of Supply and Social Solidarity, Professor of Economics at Cairo University, Dr. Gouda Abdel-Khalek, regarding the disappearance of several pieces of gold jewelry and possessions from inside the house.
According to Abdel-Khalek's statements to the press, investigations led to suspicion of a maid who had been working for the family for about 14 years, after it became clear that she had been gradually stealing valuable possessions, taking advantage of her continuous presence in the house.
The theft occurred over time
The former minister explained that the disappearance of the possessions was not discovered from the beginning, noting that his health condition and that of his wife contributed - according to his account - to the delayed notice of the disappearance of some belongings.
The stolen items included - according to his statements - gold jewelry belonging to his wife, including a diamond ring, in addition to cash amounts, possessions, and honors, with the total value of the stolen items estimated at about 5 million Egyptian pounds.
The "Nile Necklace"
The disappearance of the "Nile Necklace" was one of the most surprising aspects of the incident, as Abdel-Khalek confirmed that it was among the possessions that disappeared from the house, along with several medals and honors he received throughout his career.
According to the information circulating in the investigations, the accused did not keep the jewelry as it was, but sold some of it to traders, before melting down several gold pieces and changing their shape, making it difficult to recognize them.
Arrest of the accused
The security authorities managed to arrest the maid in the Basateen area of Cairo, while investigations revealed individuals she dealt with in selling some of the possessions.
The relevant authorities continue to examine the path of the stolen items, identifying all potential accomplices and the extent of each person's knowledge of the source of those possessions, in addition to attempting to determine the fate of the remaining stolen items that have not been recovered.
Available information indicated that the accused was wanted in connection with two other theft cases, information that is being verified as part of the investigations and legal procedures.

After the discovery of the incident, the family filed a report with the security authorities, which intensified its investigations until it was able to identify and arrest the accused, before taking legal action and notifying the public prosecutor to initiate investigations.
Abdel-Khalek stated in press statements that the family did not hesitate throughout the years of the maid's employment to assist her and stand by her, expressing his regret over the outcome of a relationship that lasted for nearly 14 years.
