اجتاحت حرائق الغابات التي أججتها الرياح القوية عدة مناطق في اليونان اليوم من بينها مناطق قريبة من العاصمة أثينا وسط عمليات واسعة لإخماد النيران وإجلاء السكان.
وأصدرت السلطات اليونانية تحذيرات من ارتفاع خطر الحرائق في منطقتي أتيكا وإيفيا، فيما يشارك أكثر من 300 رجل إطفاء و92 آلية، إلى جانب الطائرات والمعدات الثقيلة، في مكافحة حريق بمنطقة بيوتيا، أدى إلى إجلاء أكثر من 200 شخص بحراً.
وتجدد حريق في مقاطعة فار جنوب شرق فرنسا، وامتد على أكثر من ألف هكتار خلال ست ساعات، مما استدعى إجلاء نحو 2500 شخص، فيما بلغت المساحات المتضررة من الحرائق في أنحاء البلاد منذ بداية العام نحو 119 ألف هكتار.
وتواصل فرق الإطفاء في إسبانيا مكافحة عدة حرائق، مع تدهور الأوضاع في إقليم ليون، بينما سمح تحسن الوضع في إقليم ثامورا بعودة سكان 14 بلدة، واحتواء حريق في إقليم كاستيون بعد أن أتى على نحو 10 آلاف هكتار.
Wildfires fueled by strong winds have swept through several areas in Greece today, including regions near the capital Athens, amid extensive efforts to extinguish the flames and evacuate residents.
The Greek authorities have issued warnings about the increased risk of fires in the regions of Attica and Evia, while more than 300 firefighters and 92 vehicles, along with aircraft and heavy equipment, are participating in combating a fire in the Boeotia area, which has led to the evacuation of more than 200 people by sea.
A fire has reignited in the Var region of southeastern France, spreading over more than a thousand hectares in six hours, necessitating the evacuation of about 2,500 people, while the areas affected by fires across the country since the beginning of the year have reached approximately 119,000 hectares.
Firefighting teams in Spain continue to combat several fires, with conditions deteriorating in the León region, while improvements in the situation in the Zamora region have allowed residents of 14 towns to return, and a fire in the Castellón region has been contained after consuming about 10,000 hectares.
