تشهد سماء منطقة الحدود الشمالية، خلال هذه الليالي ظهور مثلث الصيف، وهو تشكيل سماوي بارز يتكون من ثلاثة من ألمع نجوم السماء: النسر الواقع (Vega)، والطائر (Altair)، وذنب الدجاجة (Deneb). ويتميز بسهولة رؤيته بالعين المجردة بعد غروب الشمس، رغم أنه ليس كوكبة نجمية.
وأوضح عضو نادي الفلك والفضاء عدنان خليفة، أن مثلث الصيف يُعد من أبرز معالم السماء في فصل الصيف، وأن هذه النجوم تظهر متباعدة لتشكل مثلثًا كبيرًا يسهل تمييزه بالعين المجردة بعد حلول الظلام.
وكان يُستخدم قديمًا للاستدلال على الاتجاهات ومواسم السنة، كما يساعد هواة الفلك في التعرف على الكوكبات والنجوم المحيطة به.
وتوفر منطقة الحدود الشمالية ظروفًا مثالية لرصد هذه الظاهرة، بفضل صفاء الأجواء وانخفاض التلوث الضوئي، مما يتيح أيضًا مشاهدة الشريط المضيء لمجرة درب التبانة في المواقع البعيدة عن الإضاءة، ليمنح الراصدين تجربة فلكية مميزة طوال أشهر الصيف.
The sky of the Northern Borders region is witnessing the appearance of the Summer Triangle during these nights, which is a prominent celestial formation made up of three of the brightest stars in the sky: Vega, Altair, and Deneb. It is characterized by its easy visibility to the naked eye after sunset, even though it is not a constellation.
Adnan Khalifa, a member of the Astronomy and Space Club, explained that the Summer Triangle is one of the most notable features of the sky in the summer season, and these stars appear spaced apart to form a large triangle that is easy to distinguish with the naked eye after darkness falls.
It was historically used to determine directions and seasons of the year, and it also helps astronomy enthusiasts identify the surrounding constellations and stars.
The Northern Borders region provides ideal conditions for observing this phenomenon, thanks to the clear skies and low light pollution, which also allows for viewing the glowing band of the Milky Way in areas far from artificial lighting, giving observers a unique astronomical experience throughout the summer months.
