كانوا يجلسون بسلام على شاطئ البحر، يستمتعون بجمال الأمواج ونسيم الصيف، قبل أن يلتفتوا بجانبهم ويجدوا فجأة أسداً ضخماً يشاركهم السباحة واللعب على الرمال!
هذا المشهد السريالي المرعب لم يكن لقطة من فيلم هوليوودي، بل واقعاً حقيقياً وثقه مقطع فيديو تم تداوله على نطاق واسع في ليبيا، ليفجر موجة غضب عارمة ومخاوف أمنية كبرى على منصات التواصل الاجتماعي، بعدما قرر شاب تحدي المنطق والقانون واصطحاب ملك الغابة في «نزهة بحرية» وسط المصطافين.
وأظهرت لقطات متداولة شاباً ليبياً يتجول برفقة أسد ضخم على أحد الشواطئ العامة المكتظة بالزوار في مدينة تاجوراء. الشاب لم يكتفِ بالمشي مع الحيوان المفترس، بل أخذ يلاعبه على الرمال الذهبية قبل أن يسحبه بجرأة شديدة إلى داخل مياه البحر للسباحة معاً.
ورغم أن الأسد بدا هادئاً ومستسلماً طوال المقطع، إلا أن وجود عائلات ودراجات مائية على مسافة أمتار قليلة منه أثار رعب الحاضرين والمتابعين على حد سواء.
بمجرد انتشار اللقطات، اشتعلت منصات التواصل الاجتماعي بالانتقادات الحادة والاتهامات بالاستهتار بالأرواح. وكتبت الناشطة سناء محمد معلقة: «لو كان هناك قانون، لن يتجرأ أحد على تربية أسد في المنزل أو التجول به في الأماكن العامة وتهديد حياة الناس».
بينما تساءل آخرون بغضب عن غياب الدور الأمني في مراقبة الشواطئ، وحذر عبدالله الشريف من العواقب الكارثية قائلاً: «لو يفلت الأسد بشكل مفاجئ ويقرر مهاجمة الناس، لن يتمكن أحد من الإمساك به وقد يتسبب في كارثة.. هذا استهتار بالأرواح والمفروض سجن صاحبه».
المثير للقلق أن هذه الواقعة ليست معزولة، إذ تكررت في ليبيا أخيرا مشاهد تجول بعض المواطنين الليبيين بالحيوانات المفترسة كالأسود والنمور في الشوارع والأماكن العامة وكأنها حيوانات أليفة.
يحدث هذا رغم وجود قوانين واضحة وصارمة تحظر تماماً احتفاظ الأفراد بالحيوانات المفترسة، أو تربيتها في المنازل والمزارع الخاصة، فضلاً عن منع استيرادها أو إدخالها إلى البلاد. ومع ذلك، يبدو أن «حب الاستعراض» الرقمي وجذب المشاهدات على السوشيال ميديا دفع البعض إلى تحويل شواطئ الاستجمام العائلية إلى حلبات ترويض خطرة تحتمل الانفجار في أي لحظة!
They were sitting peacefully on the beach, enjoying the beauty of the waves and the summer breeze, before they turned to their side and suddenly found a massive lion joining them for a swim and playing in the sand!
This terrifying surreal scene was not a clip from a Hollywood movie, but a real event captured in a widely circulated video in Libya, sparking a wave of outrage and major security concerns on social media platforms, after a young man decided to challenge logic and the law by taking the king of the jungle on a "beach outing" among the vacationers.
The circulated footage showed a Libyan young man strolling alongside a huge lion on one of the crowded public beaches in Tajoura. The young man did not stop at just walking with the predator; he boldly played with it on the golden sand before pulling it into the sea to swim together.
Although the lion appeared calm and submissive throughout the clip, the presence of families and jet skis just a few meters away sparked terror among the attendees and viewers alike.
As soon as the footage spread, social media platforms ignited with sharp criticisms and accusations of recklessness towards lives. Activist Sana Mohamed wrote in a comment: "If there were a law, no one would dare to keep a lion at home or walk it in public places, threatening people's lives."
Meanwhile, others angrily questioned the lack of security oversight on the beaches, and Abdullah Al-Sharif warned of catastrophic consequences, saying: "If the lion suddenly breaks loose and decides to attack people, no one will be able to catch it, and it could cause a disaster... this is recklessness towards lives, and its owner should be imprisoned."
What is concerning is that this incident is not isolated, as scenes of some Libyan citizens walking with wild animals like lions and tigers in the streets and public places as if they were pets have recently been repeated in Libya.
This happens despite the existence of clear and strict laws that completely prohibit individuals from keeping wild animals or raising them in homes and private farms, as well as banning their importation or entry into the country. Nevertheless, it seems that the "love for digital show-off" and attracting views on social media has driven some to turn family recreation beaches into dangerous taming arenas that could explode at any moment!
